Waxing = removing the hair by spreading a layer of wax over the hair, applying a cloth or microfiber strip on top of the wax, and pulling off the strip very quickly in the opposite direction of the hair growth in order to remove it. Yes. It is pulling the hair out by it's roots, and it does hurt (sometimes worse than others, depending on where you are waxing).
Advantages = finer hair growth over time, fairly quick, lasts about 4-6 weeks, no "stubbly" feel to the regrowth.
Disadvantages = it does hurt, you have to grow your hair out at least 1/4 of an inch in order to wax effectively again, and it can permanently damage hair follicles (not a problem, really, unless you have overwaxed your eyebrows ... and they decide not to grow back).

Well, I personally only wax my eyebrows, I am considering starting to do my arms because I hate the look of hair on them, and I just shave my legs because I don't have the patience to wax them. But I usually have my eyebrows done once a month, even if the hair starts to come back before that. You have to wait until it is long enough for the wax to really attach to it to pull it out. I think it is something like 1/4 of an inch for legs and arms.

Good Question. You just have to wait until what you wax is hairy.The advantage is that you dont get cut with the raser.The disadvantage is that it takes a little longer and it hurts.

You can wax again when the hair is long enough for the wax to get a good grasp on it 1/4 in maybe(stubble)

I wax my legs once a week, when the hair is long enough for the wax to grab. If I wax sooner, not all the hair comes off and my skin is redder.
