Who said that Mexico is great. The crime rate is out of control. You can be killed for witnessing anything illegal that could be reported. There are kidnappings and beheadings there from the drug cartel.

The people are not properly protected by their law enforcement. They are not cared for by their government. The water and food there is contaminated in many areas.

Why not fight to come to the US and attempt a better life. But then why not do it legally? Well that is because the US government does very little to discourage the illegals from coming over. They can not keep up with how many are crossing our boarders. The US will not step up and enforce the laws on the books about the illegals. (illegals are not just from Mexico either)

So why come here? Because they believe there is a better life here or at least better wages that they will send home to support their families.

I do not agree with it though. They should only go through the legal process or get forever refused by our country~

Mexico is a beautiful country - rich in culture. There's nothing wrong with Mexicans having pride of their Mexican heritage & culture. However - the government has no interest in helping it's people EAT. A lot of people are dirt poor and have no recourse at all - to either starve, or to move away from their families & friends for long stretches of time so that they can make enough money to send home & feed them. Americans - such as yourself apparently - view this as a political issue or an invasion. Looking at it for one moment from their point-of-view....this is an issue of survival, not politics.

If you were in the same position, be honest, wouldn't YOU do whatever it took to feed your family? Make sure they had a place to live? Clothes? Medicine? Or....would you just watch them starve, get sick, and die?

When you're so desperately poor, with no hope of any sort of future in your own country - you go into survival mode - and do what you need to do.

But - the magnet that attracts them here are the corporations who are looking to save a few bucks, so they exploit these desperate people & use them as cheap labor. Why pay someone even minimum wage for a job, when they can pay a poor Mexican $2/hour?

Let's place blame where it belong........on the corporations who hire & exploit these workers........not the workers themselves - who - in an ideal world - WOULD stay in Mexico & be near their loved ones.......their choice is to either be an illegal alien - or die.

What would your choice be?

Almost all illegal aliens come from mexico to the US in search of victims to commit crimes on. At least that's what the crime statistics very clearly show. Illegals do almost nothing else except engage in a life of crime.

All HUMAN BEINGS feel pride and love for their "motherland" even if they must leave to survive. All US citizens have some ethnic pride even if they've never stepped foot in their homeland. How many Mc's celebrate St. Pat's day and have never been to Ireland? (Yes, I'm 100% Mc who's never been to Ireland!)How many other people celebrate and love their roots even though they are far removed?? Of course people who actually lived in those homelands still have a fond affection for their memories and loved ones left behind.

Mexico is NOT "so great". I assume you're talking about people who keep their holidays and traditions. I see absolutely nothing wrong with that at all. It's ok for the Irish, why not the Hispanics too?

They are looking for a better way of life.,this is what they cause........
Households headed by illegal aliens imposed more than $26.3 billion in costs on the federal government in 2002 and paid only $16 billion in taxes, creating a net fiscal deficit of almost $10.4 billion, or $2,700 per illegal household.
Among the largest costs are Medicaid ($2.5 billion); treatment for the uninsured ($2.2 billion); food assistance programs such as food stamps, WIC, and free school lunches ($1.9 billion); the federal prison and court systems ($1.6 billion); and federal aid to schools ($1.4 billion).
With nearly two-thirds of illegal aliens lacking a high school degree, the primary reason they create a fiscal deficit is their low education levels and resulting low incomes and tax payments, not their legal status or heavy use of most social services.
On average, the costs that illegal households impose on federal coffers are less than half that of other households, but their tax payments are only one-fourth that of other households.
Many of the costs associated with illegals are due to their American-born children, who are awarded U.S. citizenship at birth. Thus, greater efforts at barring illegals from federal programs will not reduce costs because their citizen children can continue to access them.
My ancestors came here in 1702,they were NOT illegal
They were merchants and were here to expand their holdings. They never were a drain on society, not one owned a slave, not one ever was on welfare, they worked hard, paid their bills and became well respected people in their community's.What have your ancestors done or accomplished.Besides we are living in 2007 almost and I live in the here and now not the then and what was.I know all my ans esters,I have journals and letters and diary's that have been authenticated by historic societies. So I know why,who and how my ancestors came here .
