The opposite of love is not hate, it is indifference. To love is to be passionate about something. To hate is to be passionate about something.....The right or wrong answer lies within the actions you inflict upon someone in the name of passion, be it love or hate.

You made a good point... love and hate... both emotions can cause violence... disrupt your life... such as work, sleeping, eating, I never thought about this until I read your question.
Them both being extreme opposites on the spectrum makes them both equaly emotional but I believe more good come from love than hate.
I'm listening to the Dr. Phil show as I'm writing this and todays program was right on target with your question. The show is about hate, there's a black person and a white person, a fat and a skinny, a gay and a straight, all descibe hate everything about the other and they have them all living in one house.
So... to complete my point hate is unacceptable... I wish we could just change hate to unacceptance... ya know... I can choose to not accept your behavoir, I can choose to not accept how you treat me... I can choose to not accept how you live your life... and just not let hate come into play when it comes to how we feel about one another.
By the way I hate oysters!!!

Extreme emotions from either side...yes, cause both can make you do things you never thought you would, but it's your choice to which you prefer to live by. First of all hate takes away from the soul whereas love gives to the soul, although both can cause one to commit a crime, then again it's your choice. We are taught in the Bible to love everyone as ourselves, even our enimies, though that can be hard in all the wrong-doing in our world today. My point here is hate generates hate and love generates love...it's your choice.

Good point, although, they are far from the same. I have experenced both, and would choose the love any day over the hate. The love puts me in a better mood while the hate drags me down.

Love is meant to be good or godlike and hate is supposed to be devilish or evil. Emotions are a state of mind and taking class A and some class B drugs long-term would eventually supress these emotions. Like and dislike, or be strong, be indifferent.

Love and hate, can also be compared to right and wrong, they t are of the same spectrum. It is at what perspective they are precieved. It is all a matter of degree. It is your heart which truly has the answer for you. How much will you love how much will you hate? That is up to everyone of us individualy
