If you child is teething, what is an acceptable fever? I know that they have low-grade fevers as a common symptom of teething. What is considered low-grade? Seems like our day care sends our kid home a lot for running fevers and I think it's probably just him teething since we see other symptoms (finger in mouth, slightly runny nose, red cheeks...).

When my little ones were teething, they always ran 100 - 101 fever. I would think that 99 would be ok but it is a very good idea what your day care does. There are rules with the government when you own a day care. One of those things is just common sense. If my baby had a fever I would stay home and take care of it.......teething or not. Which, by the way, I did do with both of my babies. I know that times are hard now and money is hard to obtain these days and it does not go far so...Low Grade is below 98.7. I wish you all the luck in the world !!!

every child reacts differently to teething, some get 99 some get 103. Once a doctor told me that if the child acts normal when the fever goes down then it is OK. My son when ever he has fever it goes to 103-104 but as soon as fever comes down to 99 or less he starts playing around. so even 104 is OK for him

My child ran a fever of 101 when he was teething and had dirahea. If he seems really uncomfortable and has a fever do tylenol every 4 hrs and motrin every 6 hrs.

If the child is drinking liquids, and not lethargic, a fever for a child can go to 105 before a Dr. will tell you to go to an emergency room. "They" say there are no symtoms to teething, but I have raised 7 children, and I don't believe it.

A low-grade fever is usually under 103.

For a baby NOTHING over 101.7, give him/her Tylenol. If that doesn't work see your baby's Dr.
