I like onions in my chili but some people don't. Make 1/2 with and 1/2 without then everyone is happy.

Almost all chili recipes call for onions, I think some people add uncooked onions afterwords an that's just a matter of opinion.

i don't put onions on my chilli i smother my chilli with onions and cheese along with some fries oh yes son oh yes

you can but put them in first with very little oil and cook till golden brown as it sweetens the dish slightly then and your mince breaking it down then and your garlic,peppers, chillies and tomato's origono and one tea spoon of choco powder and simmer or leave in a slow cooker for about an hour then season with little salt and pepper and then add your beans till they are hot .
thats the proper uk way good luck trying and add vegetables that you like

No. I hate onions! But I use onion powder... that is if I were to make chili instead of buying it in the can.
