Why not have a pre-dinner drink @ the Oak Bar in the Plaza? It's so cozy & handsome inside. Very intimate.

Then hop a cab over to the West Village/SoHo area. There are always chique restaurants coming & going. Spanish tapas are an awesome meal. A bunch of little finger foods & a pitcher of sangria, w/ beautiful, soft Spanish music playing. There's lots of places in the Village w/ good atmosphere like that.

Or... go to the SoHo Grand Hotel. They have a fabulous lounge on the 2nd floor w/ really cool drinks & apps. Romantic lighting, comfortable seating. Have a great night!

I have a particular romantic date which is 2nd June every year since the last five years. This date is the re-opening date of schools and colleges after summer vacation all over our state, and it will be the starting date of monsoon over here. It was on that day, my neighbouring girls also admitted in the same school, in my same class, and we went to school together, under one umbrella, as she had not purchased one being the first day. We are in the 10th grade, and at the peak of our romantic period. Walking together under one umbrella for about 3KM, naturally made to sprout out romance in our heart, which still continues stronger than before.

go to the top of the empire state building for sunset!

It's a bit of trip, but on the east side of long island is a town called greenport! Great date/day trip destination. It's an old shipping town, but nice and quaint. There are some great wineries out there also.

Hop on a boat for a tour of manhattan from the water!

Hopefully this gets you going!

Giving your date flowers is always extremely flattering, I think. Its very traditional and a definite turn on. Personally, I would prefer casual but not too casual dining places. Picking a place with a wide selection would be a good idea and music and dancing is always fun.
