That's simple enough! His objectives have not been met. The Iraq government has not given the high sign that it is ready to maintain it's own security without help from the American military complex.

It's doubtful that Islam will let it succeed, even if the Americans pulled out tomorrow. They will continue their attempt to dismantle the new Iraq government, only because it has an American footprint. This is not acceptable to Islam. I'm surprised it hasn't gotten more attention by the intelligence community, although I could be wrong my instincts tell me I'm not wrong.

Bush won't stop the war because the reason he got us into this big, freakin' mess was to enrich his constituents... not you and me, but Haliburton, oil companies, defense contractors, etc. That's how he got elected - through the efforts of the very rich elite who knew that they would get so stinkin' rich, they stole the election for him! When Dick Cheney says the U.S. should withdraw from Iraq, we will. I don't think he's rich enough yet.

Ha - what a riot you folks who think America will be safer by staying in Iraq, that terrorists will come to America then... they're here now, dimwits, and will choose their time to attack when they're good and ready!

I don't think he can. However you may feel about why we got into this war, I can't see how we can get out of it anytime soon. The question you should be asking is "What is the next War George is going to get us into." or something along those lines.

Hey, a Jeopardy style question!

The question to the statement: "Why Bush Doesn't want to stop the war" is

A withdrawl from Iraq would embolden the terrorists and increase the likelihood of a terrorist attack on American soil, for example a suicide bombing in a busy mall or school or a dirty bomb detonated in a football arena. Vote Republican for the sake of our country!

I'm not very good at Jeopardy. Was that in the right format?

Is this a question? or were you going to tell us why and were interrupted? Of course Pres. Bush wants the war to end. He does not want to cut and run and then have the problem be even more terrible than it is right now.

Why would he? In the beginning, everyone was for the war because it made sense to fight them in Iraq instead of in the U.S..

Now, everyone but Bush has wavered and gone weak-kneed and it's Bush who's the bad guy?

The real question is, Why are career politicians so week and feeble. Why can't we count on the integrity and endurance of someone with the title of 'Senator' or 'House Minority Leader' in front of their name!

because it is about profits for the "good old boys" and anyone with connections to them. sad to say we have lost so many soldiers so that so few can profit. there has to be some crime in that and one that will be punished to the fullest extent of the law. to trade lives for profit is inexcusable.

Because he would have to admit that he failed.

Give him time, and a Democratic Congress.

This past Saturday was the first time he's bother to ASK anybody what to do in Iraq. Little late (Rummy doesn't count, the Dick even less)

Because he remembers that when we left Viet Nam, more people died after we left than when we were there. And, we are our brother's keeper. Why shouldn't we be protecting people in other parts of the world? If we had known what Hitler was going to do , wouldn't we have been after him sooner?
I don't care if it's a Republican thing or a Democrat thing, we need to be responsible.
