I am going to a salon that is certified in relaxing hair the Japanese way. (Also, they say that the relaxer is permanent service. And that the hair will remain straight until it grows out. ... What does that mean?!) Anyways, do you guy's think it's a good idea for me to relax my hair the Japanese way?

when you perm. straighten your hair it is really harsh on it and if you have curly hair it kinda makes it poofy

Depending on what they are using to relax your hair I would recommend it only if your hair is very thick and curly. Usually a chi straightening iron works well on mild to curly hair. I have very long hair and it only takes me about 30 minutes to straighten it. That is also a less expensive way because I know a lot of salons will charge about $600 for the bio ionic straightening and remember it only lasts till the curls start to grow at your roots, then it looks odd and you have to dish out another $600 Good luck and try the CHI first, most everyone loves it!

it 'really' depends on your type of hair and how you wear it - do you always blow it out? or relax it with other products? I have a gf who did it and she had really kinky hair and always blew it out - well when she did the Japanese straightening it looked great for a little while BUT... she then had to spend time still 'fussing' with it and wound up spending more time after it was done.. She had gone to a reputable salon paid like $800, and... when her hair grew out (from the roots that's what they mean) the curls came back and her hair was a disaster! took her a good year to get her natural healthy hair back - so everyone's different, I have very currly long hair and I would NEVER do it, I think it's just as damaging as other relaxers and takes too much time and too much money...

It means that until your hair grows out completely from scalp it will be straight. I don't know, I have natural curly (wavy) hair. I like to wear my hair both ways... It's fun to do different things with. If you are interested in purchasing a flat iron the best would be a sedu flat iron. I love mine! My sister has super curly hair and it makes her hair beautiful and extremely straight!

beuaty is only skin deep ive always found personality wins out on the guys trust me ive got a theroy the best looking lady in the room has no personality and looks that way to atract attention because after skeaking with them for 5 mins you think what am i doing here talking to her. so look good feel good and be comfortable no matter what your hair looks like.
