To me, it wasn't appealing at all. Everyone raves on how good it is but it had a strangely bitter aftertaste after consumption. Am I alone in this or are there any Guiness haters out there?

I hate Guinness too! I had heard about how it was the best beer, so when I was a bartender I tried one. I about threw up. It's horrid and disgusting. It's like drinking your own barf. I couldn't finish more than 3 sips, so I had the guys in the kitchen try it, and they said to take that nasty s*** away. So I dumped it down the drain and never looked back.

Try the Irish Car-Bomb...Guinness & a shot of Bailey's. Tastes like chocolate milk. But true to Guiness beer lovers...it is an acquired taste. I like it, not love it...but mixing it takes some of the heaviness away. Cooknig with it is good too.

Guiness is delicious.. being the true irishman that I am, I have to say that.... now, that aside, it really isn't that good. The first few sips are alright, but after a while I feel like I am eating a cheeseburger for some reason. it's filling and after a while I just dont' enjoy it.

Guiness gives me a headache, after the first drink. Tastes bad too.

Sorry, I know I'm in the minority here, but I just adore Guinness! I realize it's an acquired taste, & the 1st time u try it u have to keep telling yourself it won't be anything like Bud Light! (blech)
Sometimes to me it's like I'm drinking a steak, it's so substantial. And a little goes a long way. In the perfect pub atmosphere, I love me a pint of Guinness!

Yeah, I agree. Guiness tastes like motor oil.
BUT I STILL LOVE IT!

Never been a Guiness Girl, I like British/Irish beer...not a dark beer fan. Hate on my friend, hate on.

I really REALLY don't like Guiness. I don't like any beer you need to chew.
One time i tried a black & tan, and an Irish Car Bomb; and those were even worse.

No offense but you are a girl right? It not really appealing to most women. Many guys just say they like it because they think it's cool. Bottom line is, you like what you like and the heck with everybody else.
