Yes prayers get answered and often.
My faith is never going to be proof enough for you or anyone else but me. But, thanks for asking.
I'll add you to my prayers

I think so. I can tell you about an experience I had, but I highly doubt it will prove anything to you.
Several years back I had lost my wedding ring. So after a week of searching and having no luck, I finally sat down before bed one night and prayed to several of my deities to help me find my wedding ring.
The next morning I woke up and sitting on my dresser as if it had been there all along - was my wedding ring. Now I assure you I had searched the top of the dresser thoroughly. The ring was NOT there the night before.
I asked my husband if he had found it. He said he hadn't (he could have been lying, but I highly doubt it because he would have nothing to gain by lying).
Also - I don't drink or do drugs and I have no mental illness. I also don't sleep walk.
This is just one example of many that make me believe there is something to prayer.
Of course scientific evidence suggests that praying for others might not work and might actually make them worse off if they're ill.
So... I'm open to other explanations if one comes up that can explain missing things mysteriously re-appearing.

Actually they do. Sometimes the answer is yes; sometimes it's no; sometimes it's wait. I remember when my sister was about 4 and she started praying for a little brother. The doctors told my mom that she would be unable to have anymore because her body was shut down already in that respect. The doctors were wrong however. Mom's hormones popped back miraculously and soon before my sister turned 7 we had a new little brother. Then she wanted a little sister, but I convinced her that another brother would be better because then the 2 boys could play together. She and I prayed for another brother and less than 2 years later, we had yet another brother.

I have maintained a prayer list that I place a specific prayer request on the left side, and a space to write an answer on the right side. I have done this for nearly five years.
Over the period of time, I have noticed that the prayers I ask on behalf of others are answered more often than those for myself. As I have prayed for others more, the higher the percentage of my prayers get answered.
I have 6 unanswered prayers right now, four of which are from years prior to 2006. God has been so faithful in answering prayer. The ones unanswered are all recent prayers, beginning in the month of May, not including those prior to 2006.
The most recent answer to prayer was a friend whose husband was diagnosed with stage three cancer. He was given about three months to live. This was two months ago. As of last week, he was in complete remission.
UPDATE: For those who do not get their prayers answered, it can often be because of unbelief. (Matthew 21:22)
Other things can hinder your prayers as well. "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:" (Psalm 66:18) And "You ask for something but do not get it because you ask for it for the wrong reason-for your own pleasure." (James 4:3) And "...Honor them as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing may interfere with your prayers." (I Peter 3:7)

Hundreds of my prayers have been answered big and small. Some fairly quickly and also some took up to 20 years. For those prayers that God didn't answer there was a reason. Sometimes it takes the perspective of time to understand why it was better that God didn't answer those particular prayers.
All it takes is a little faith...in fact...if you have faith as tiny as a seed of mustard plant...it can move mountains!

Yes, always. Sometimes the answers are yes, sometimes they are no and other times they are to wait.
One time i went through a horrible divorce and custody battle and my two year old during this time had accidentally burned himself with my curling iron. My ex took my son and said i was abusing him. I took him to court to get him back and before i went to court my family prayed with me and God answered. when i got up and told my part of what happened. The judge, who was a tough one, said that his 3 year old granddaughter had done the same thing only two weeks prior. I got my son back an hour later. That was a total God thing! Belive me, prayer works, even the little ones! He is the God of prayer, all we have to do is have faith and ask.

The only thing I know is that when I was seven years old I developed a neurological problem which affected my ability to walk and the doctors told my parents there was nothing they could do. A lot of people prayed fervently for me and within a year, I was not only walking but jumping rope and riding a bike. You can say what you want, but you can't attribute that miraculous recover to the doctors, or anybody else but God!

Only if you believe it will. Only what you believe to be true can come true. If you don't believe it then it can't exist for you. Perception is what you believe to be true.
Proof, it took 16 years but I prayed that my father would come to me in my dreams and he finally did and he had a smile. Now I'm praying that he talks to me.
If someone has to prove it to you then you don't believe in prayer so praying will never work for you. It's all about believing.

Ok, my car was dead as a doornail at my work. We came by at night after I got a ride home and attempted to jump it. We tried for 30 minutes, the engine never even tried to turn over. I thought to pray, so me and my husband prayed there for a minute over the car, my Husband got in, turned the key and the car started right up. We got the car home, and as soon as we turned it off, the car was dead again. We didn't change the cabling at all during the process, and as we later found out, the battery was as dead as a doornail, and couldn't hold a charge required to start the vehicle.

It is written. God has answered many of my prayers.
I guess the one that comes to mind is praying for Salvation for my family & friends. Not all have confessed Jesus their Lord and believed in Him.
Well at the Gateway there is a special anointing for intercessory prayer. So when I go to my home town I go there where it is my home church (Used to be Assembly of God). When God pours out His Spirit it is very overwhelming and also visions of family & friends happen. I have recognized this as God hearing my prayers for family & friends. Also it is a specially strong annointing for that particular church. One of my recent visits, God assured in my heart the Salvation of all my family & friends I have prayed for. Even if I haven't seen it yet. I trust God for God is always true and never lies.
Faith is the title deed of things hoped for. My faith is my proof.
Also, I prayed for a president that wouldn't be ashamed of the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and George Bush at his Inauguration, Franklin Graham blessed America in the Name of Jesus Christ. George Bush isn't ashamed of the name of his Lord.
I have been praying God shine His light on American enemies, and it was prophesied by Prophet KimClement that the Lord loves His America and hears our presidents prayers and will shine His light on our enemies, etc...
I prayed for Israel and the Lord gave me a prophetic message for Israel and their land. Also, that they need to repent for not believing in Jesus Christ, and He will heal their land. And God gives them their land and extends their borders. And the whole earth is the Lords.
At the Gateway, a prophetess was seeing visions before Hurrican Katrina hit. She didn't understand it. When the church got together to pray for Hurrican Katrina to turn away, the prophetess saw a vision of a sword in Israel dividing the land, then in America a sword dividing the land. Then heard the words, "Land for Land." So also, God did not turn Katrina away. The devil did it, but God didn't stop it because of our part in encouraging Israel to leave Gaza.
These are just a few that come to mind. God has answered many more questions, etc.
