Purchase a humidifier. During the time of year when you are running heaters (such as now) it dries out the air inside--thus causing nosebleeds for some people. Humidifiers put moisture back in the air and your skin. You'll feel better, sleep better, and have little or no more nosebleeds.

I had this same problem and immediately noticed the difference when I started using a humidifier.

See an otolaryngiologist, (an ear-nose-throat) specialist, to determine what is causing the bleeding. It could be due to other factors like low blood platelets, a wound that gets irritiated, or a varicose blood vessel in the nose that needs cautery to stop it from leaking. In any case, keep fingers and any other foreign objects out of your nose. If you start bleeding, pinch the nose shut and tilt your head back until it stops, don't pack stuff in there unless it is bleeding profusely.

You should definately see a doctor.

Excessive nose bleeds can have many causes.
(High Blood Pressure, weak membranes, thinning blood, the weather which have already been mentioned) It can also be caused by some very serious health problems, such as cancer.

Make an appointment with your physician as soon as possible.

Check with your doctor to see if you have high blood pressure. Lowering your blood pressure will reduce your chance of having nose bleed.
