Hi Ruth,

You do not have to join a gym to get in shape. There are many videos and workout accessories you can buy at decent prices (Walmart or Best buys) that can help guide you to a better fitness. You could go fo walks outside or short runs until you stamina and endurance gets becomes more advanced. Buy a fit ball to enhance your weight resistance exercises. Just do not start taking any types of supplements out there on the market unless you have first discussed it over with your physician. You never know what underlying conditions you may have and any supplement may be harmful if you are unaware of these issues. Besides everyone tries to sell a miracle pill and if it sounds too good to be true.....well........we all know the answer to that one, right? It doesnt take a gym to get you more healthy. It only takes that first step to get you on the road of where you want to be health wise. Best of luck on your journey!

If you ever need any advice please feel free to contact me :) I would be more than happy to answer any questions you might have.
God bless ~i~

i am a bit like you, the way i deal with getting bored is try loads of diferent things. i have tried-swimming, going to local gym at liesure centre(you dont need to join just pay each time you go) body combat class(this is absolutety brill a combo of martial arts type moves/kickboxing/keep fit, tai chi and yoga) this way if you do one for a few weeks or so and then try a different exercise you wont get bored.
hope this has given you some ideas :)

Find a friend or work colleague that has the same goal as you, then spend 30 mins every day or so a week, walking, hiking, gardening, just moving.

over time increase the intensity a day a week or the duration to 40 minutes and so on.

Soon you will not need your friend as company and you will on your way to visual results and a better life. Good luck

Put on some music- fast music. Wear headphones if you need to. Dance. You can do lots of excercises to music. For years, I have done an aerobic workout to "Dude Looks Like A Lady" by Aerosmith. It is a little over 7 minutes long, and you can conform any excercise to it. It makes excercise fun, and you get to listen to your favorite music.

Start walking. Walk about a mile the first day. Start picking up your pace a little each day. Don't overdo at first. Read up on walking on the internet. Lots of good sites out there to help you. It helps with your stamina and ambition. Hope this helps.

Eat a healthy breakfast, drink fluids etc..... Its allways good if there is friend who feels the same way, start with a slow 10min jog on Sunday? it will be hard the first time but you will feel a slight improvement each time and you'll feel miles better
