Club drugs.?

This is a weird question, but I've been arguing about the answer with a number of people, so I want an answer.

Is ecstasy used in clubs for like raves to keep you up all night? Like, I always thought it was what ravers used to stay up and dance for never ending hours.

Or is it used as the date rape drug?

So pretty much, does it give you a high or does it knock you out?

roofies are date rape drugs, not ecstasy. Ecstasy makes you feel good, dancing more fun. if given at super high doses, ecstasy can make you use bad judgement but that is no different than acohol.

Ecstasy is used by clubbers to 'heighten' their sense of music. It makes them feel like the music is pulsing through their bodies, which in turn makes them want to dance and so they end up staying up all night.
Date rape drugs are usually ones which will erase the victims memory, like GHB (liquid ecstasy), which is made from a disgusting mix of chemicals from under the kitchen sink.
I have never heard of ecstasy, in the tablet form, being used as a date rape drug, as it usually doesn't impair the user's memory. Having said that, it does make the user want to feel close with other people, and gives them the feeling that they 'love' everybody else in the club. So I suppose this could be misconstrued in the wrong circumstances by some individuals as being given 'the green light' to try it on with another individual. But since I have never heard of this I am guessing that it is very rare.

I am not sure which drugs you are specifically researching, but I have heard that X and Special K are two popular ones. Special K is the street name for the drug Ketamine. Other names by which it is known are Ketalar, Ketaject, and Super-K. Ketamine is closely related to PCP, and it produces very similar effects. Like PCP, Ketamine use produces a reaction called a dissociative state, and also like PCP, Ketamine is known to cause bad reactions in some of its users. Designer drugs are made in underground laboratories by chemists who alter the molecular structure of both legal and illegal drugs, creating drugs with high potency which are not explicitly banned by federal law. However, illegal drugs are not regulated which makes it more difficult to understand how people will react to the drug. People want to take more and more to chase the same high they got the first time, which usually cannot be recreated. Dehydration and death are very common in club drug overdoses.

Ecstacy is known as a club drug because of its known effect on the body to make one feel loose and social. Clubs drugs are usaully drugs that are taken for the recreational and social aspects. Ecstacy can however be mixed with other substances to make one feel other effects, also someone may give one a pill and think that it is ecstacy when in fact it may not be. These factors my contribute to the fact that one may pass out thus being in a state that may get one taken advantage of. This can lead to possibly being raped, hurt or just not feeling good at all. Every person should be responsible for themselves. Drugs do not kill people, people tend to do these things to themselves. If ever offered a drug that one is not aware of then it would be better to not take it at all. Any drug potentially could be a date rape drug just as any date potentially may result in a rape. Use you heads and don't be ignorant. Stay in school and take care of yourselves then one may not have to even wonder. Just friendly advice....Peace =)

ok well its not so much a date rape drug cuz most the time in a club people take it on purpose.. no u would def not fall asleep but it wouldnt keep u up all night either. i mean if u wanted to sleep u could not pas out tho. i dont do it anymore but i used to LOVE it. it just makes u feel great the lights look amazing, the music sounds louder and u get horny. if u want me to be scientific, xtc releases the saratonin in your brain which is what makes your body feel pleasure. it just makes it release it quickly at once. good times lol

ecstasy is a pleasure drug. It doesn't knock you out. Ru-fees is a date rape drug. or any drug that knocks a person out. I heard from my friend that while on ecstasy you want to be touched massages, sex, etc. Not that its all about sex. Yes she and her friends did it at raves a lot..L.
