I was told today that i have allergies to corn, wheat, soy, egg whites, and nuts. along with the allergies that i already had which were tomatos, onions, peppers, mushrooms and seafood/fish. I am trying to figure out what i can and cannot eat and also which alcohols i can drink. Any help that i can get would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Oh, man, that sucks. I'm sorry. A good friend of mine is allergic to lots of things, including soy and corn. You would not believe how many things those are in. Keep an eye out for things like "soy lecithin", which is very common, especially in chocolate or the various corn syrups. I know she always has problems with those.

You'll probably be fine with wines and most hard liquors. I'd double check about the sweet liqueurs, though. They may add corn syrup to those, or at least the cheap ones of those.

I'd say rule number 1 is to avoid any type of processed / convenience food. Some of the ingredients you have mentioned are in fact often used by the food industry to prolong shelf life or to obtain the right 'consistency' or taste appeal. To give you an example, soy is used almost everywhere, marinades, sauces etc as a thickener. What you have to do is keep it simple - follow a more seasonal diet and broil/grill/steam/boil your food and season it with just extra virgin olive oil. Use very 'basic' ingredients ! If you eat out, instruct your waiter to serve all the sauces in a separate dish. Avoid all cocktails (already made mixes are often used, such as corn syrup instead of sugar) and choose a glass of wine instead!

wow, I feel bad for you...well, most vodkas are out, since most of them are made from wheat...so watch that. There are a few good Russian vodkas that are still made from potatoes. Read labels, wheat is in *everything* it is amazing.
Try gin...you didn't say pine trees were on your list!
Good luck to you!
