How do i convince my mother to let me get my hip bones peirced?

Tell her you hate her. Think she is just being nasty to you. That you do not want her to care about you.

On the other hand you might just take time to use a little common sense and honour your mother with caring and listen to her worries!

There are many things that can go wrong with piercings that could have a crippling effect on your life. Even if everything goes fine you are seeking to do something which permanently defaces your body for a fad.

The only sensible answer is to discus it with her on an adult level and listen and think about what she says. If you can carry out this adult exercise you will no doubt find she will at least start treating you like an adult.

If at the end of the day she still says no, then except it with good grace and the knowledge that she is saying no because she cares for you. That may stop you getting it done until you reach the age of consent but it will give you time to think about it and it will show you are mature enough to discus things on a mature level and accept the outcome.

SURFACE PIERCINGS ARE A WASTE

As a piercer, I strongly advise you to grow out of this idea. Surface piercings are not only painful to do, but almost always reject leaving behind small to large painful scars. There is little you can do to extend the life of this type of piercing. Only exception to surface piercings are eyebrows and navels which are done near painlessly and heal fine for most people.

Another thing you probably haven't considered is how costly this type of piercing it. You need special jewelry for the area and you need to find someone willing and comfortable enough with this type of piercing. Most piercers I know won't even touch that ballpark.

On top of cost and pain. How about this: hip area=near pants. Pants are going to rub and grind and pull on your piercings increasing your scarring, increasing pain, speeding rejection rate and infection.

So if you want to convince your mother, I suggest you do a lot of lying and be more than prepared to waste a lot of money on something that you'll get rid of in 3-9 months.

Piercing into a bone (if that is what you meant) could cause severe medical problems in the future.

You Mother loves you and is watching out for your health and using good sense. I will say as a Mother, there is no good reason for doing this.

If you need to convince your mother, that means you should probably just wait until your 18, you cant be that far off anyway. Question is, why would you want to do that? Seems like it would snag on your pants a lot and people would hardly ever get to see them...

Is that even possible? Wow...I don't think you will convince her. Sounds pretty scary and gross. I wonder how much it would be. I would say wait til you're 18 and then do it if you still do want it.

Show her that you are responsible....You might want to add your age to your ? so that others can answer better.....but you should also give your mom reasons for wanting to do this....she might see it your way if you have good ones.....
