so many ppl have asked a question just like this...this is what i suggested for them to do...

Zinc, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, Biotin, & Amino Acids along with a few other vitamins are very important in healthy hair growth.

Prenatal vitamins are high in a few of these vitamins which does make it very good for faster hair growth. Along with nail growth as well. All the other vitamins in them are very good for you too. A few of my friends take this for that purpose. Its pretty cheap and its very good for you. All of them say it works.~This of course is if your a female...im not to sure how this would work out on males?? ;)

Another thing that you may want to know...there are some really good products specially made for hair growth. A really good one is called "Shen Min". It has just about every vitamin known for healthy hair. Not only will it help your hair grow faster but it helps restore your hair back to its original form (color, thickness).

Another thing you could try is "main and tail" shampoo & conditioner. it is very good as well. i use this a few times a week to help my hair grow faster.

Prenatal Pills are very good for you no matter how you look at it & they will help your hair grow. An actual hair growth formula (like shen min) may be more of what your looking for.

theres a few ideas, i hope i was able to help you some!

Depends how long you are willing to wait. Hair grows at different rates for different people. The diet you consume and the hair products you use ultimately define how healthy your hair is once it grows.

Stay away from pills, lotions and other crap that people will try to sell you on - they rarely work, and those that do are temporary and have side-effects anyway. Products that actually stimulate hair-growth are usually only temporary in nature and the hair growth will stop (if not outright fall-out) once you stop using those products.

Some people claim that consuming Jello can help, and I seem to recall when I used to eat it alot as a kid, my hair and nails were growing like gangbusters, but I think it's probably bogus and was more likely due to the fact that I was young. The logic is that since hair and nails are made-up of keratin and Jello is primarily that (and sugar) it would help things grow faster. If you are young, you probably won't want to hear that smoking and caffeine can stunt hair growth and weaken the hair that does grow, but those two things would be the obvious ones.

My hair grows very fast compared to my friends (I need it cut about every 2-3 weeks). I consume mostly fish and seafood, salads and veggies, very little soda or coffee. But again, I suspect it's genetics combined with diet. Some people just grow hair at slower rates.

Don't forget that once the hair hits the outside of your head, it's dead tissue anyway - so the diet you consume while it is growing will have the biggest impact. if you color-treat your hair, it will weaken it, so best to use a volume-enhancing/strengthening shampoo and conditioner as well. According to my mother and sister who are both beauticians, they state to have your hair trimmed every few weeks to keep the ends healthy and avoid split-ends.

Good luck!

Nothing will magically make your hair grow faster, but you can do some things to keep it healthy. Just use a good shampoo and conditioner, and rotate. Don't use the same ones all the time. Even more important -eat right, drink plenty of water (very important) and exercise. Massage your scalp every night. I take a vitamin called Emergen-C. You can get it at Target, or Walgreen, places like that. It comes in a box with about 60 packets. Great stuff. Mix it w/orange juice.

I just went through this myself. I have fine and delicate hair. I used ThermaSilk shampoo and conditioner, on and off with Amplify shampoo and conditioner. I color my hair and that's more gentle nowadays than people think. And the tube of conditioner that comes with it is awesome. Don't scrub your hair when drying it, just squeeze. Then put in a leave-in moisturizing spray. Try not to dry it with a blow dryer when you can to give your hair a break. (No pun intended!)

And last but not least, get a little trim every 6-8 weeks. Maybe a quarter inch. Split ends just keep getting more split and break off.
It'll keep everything even too.

Best of luck, I know it's a PITA.

Hello
First step is you NEED to get your hair trimmed every 3-6 weeks. It will really help on the breaking and your hair will look and feel very healthy.
Second, try not to blow dry or flat iron or curle hair so much.
That really damages hair, so does perming and dyeing.
I take Biotin Dietary Supplement for my hair.
You really should discuss with your doctor first but you can buy the vitiamins over counter.

Here is a web site you can read. It should help you.
Good luck!

I think a good diet is also part of healthy hair, if you consume some or no nutrients at all, this may be affecting your cause of hair loss, maybe you have a poor diet that is deficient in nutrients that your body needs. Or maybe it runs in the family. Hope this helps, I gave it much thought.

NUTRITION! It sounds like you're malnourished. Make sure you aren't starving yourself. Eat a good variety and take vitamins.

Don't blowdry! That totally messes up fragile hair.

And you probably need a good shampoo and conditioner. Use one for dry/damaged hair.

Finally, you may just have very weak hair, so good luck.

Use good hair products. Stimulating the top of your head apparently helps too, so massage your head often.

Make sure you are getting enough iron. My hair was breaking out when I was anemic.
