I met a guy through the net, his pic was lovely and was a really nice guy.....Until we met. He was nothing like his picture and to be honest he was more or less trying to use me for sex. Kept touching me up etc, didn't enjoy it at all. In the end i made my excuses and left. It seems to work for some ppl but i would recommend getting to know someone really well and over the course of a few months as it can turn sour.

i think internet dating is a little bit dodgy, but thats just my opinion, i have heard alot of horror stories about meeting people on line, i am new here today and i have been reading some of the replies to similar questions as yours, and i do agree with most of them...i dont think it's a good idea, have you had a successful meeting with someone off the internet? if so you could tell us about it

Nope.. one terrible experience after another .
Every woman i've met off line seems to have some major issues ..
Thats why i dont look for women online anymore.

I have done internet dating before. Just be careful. You can make anything work.
I used cupid.com and we met online and things. however they have never worked out for me

My boyfriend and I actually met in a military chat room! Go figure...neither one of us was looking for a relationship...and we connected! It was awesome! It's only been one month...but we have never been happier!

My brother has tried it - disaster after disaster - although I think it could be ok if you keep your expectations in check.
