I am on 300mg of Effexor right now and when I miss a dose I start to feel this tingling feeling in my head and throughout my body, if I miss 2 doses I feel like I am going through the tortures of hell. Being weened or missing a dose usually casues a little upset in the brain, it will pass though. good luck

Yes. It made me feel a little odd, but it was hard to distinguish from the somatic sensations that used to cause panic attacks. I remember once feeling like my head swelled up like a balloon. But it went away in just a minute. I also had a severe case of the tingles once. That was actually pretty cool. It lasted for well over a minute.

Prozac is a good SSRI to move to prior to quiting an SSRI. It has a very long half-life, so it kinda weens itself.

I went of of effexor last year for a few months when I was pregnant, & the first 3 weeks were pure hell. I felt like a psycho. I had headaches, fatigue, lots of dizziness, and any little thing would set me off in a rage. I spent alot of time in bed because of it. But after awhile it went away, & I was fine again. I'm back on it now, since my stupid depression came back after the baby was born (sigh).
