Daycare center

They cant call in sick.
There is more then 1 teacher so you can assure they will not be abused and they will be treated right.
They are state liscensed, if you have problems and they dont address them you can contact the state and they either fix the problem or get shut down

I am a home child care provider. we have up to 14 children, but that is with two people. we are licensed by the state. We take classes when ever we can in order to be able to provide the best care we can. the state does check ups on a regular basis. We also charge alot less than centers. I also like to think of my daycare as a big family. we do not have so many children and are able to give them more attention and we are close to the parents. I would suggest a home child care.

Depends on the daycare center. If there aren't many kids in the class and they are clean, then your child will have a good social experience without too many illnesses.
If the daycare smells like pee when you walk in, walk out!
In-home care is good, but usually is more like babysitting whereas daycare usually has structured activities.

I say Daycare Center but choose wisely. I have a 6 year old and at first I had her In-Home but she really didn't have that interaction skills because she was at home. But when she started to go to Daycare wow what a difference. Kids need that interaction between others...good communication skills come out of that also, Hope all goes well

Daycare is not as bad as you might think. Most teachers are capable and
are there because they want to help children. Unfortunately, because the
government has a negative way at looking at daycare and legislate rules
based on minimum requirements instead of optimum requirements your
child will be considered a number to the bureaucracy. In other words,
if one teacher is the minimum required for three infants then you can be
sure that most daycares will only have one teacher for three infants. We
need to look at a child's needs differently and until we do daycare can
never be quality care. If you can find a place that will value your child's
development and respect his/her individuality then go for it. Personally
after years of providing quality care in a daycare setting and in my home,
I have to say that you should stay home with your child if you can. There
are two things you should do for yourself. One is clean your own toilet,
the other is raise your own children.

In home because I have worked in both and have seen in home daycares are a lot more one on one and they feel more like home than a center.

daycare centers are board & certified through all states and are better then in-home child care in some cases.

I prefer day care because of the fact that there are usually more children than just my own and it is more public rather than private. I want my kids to grow up in a area around kids, not just themselves.
