Every single organization has smaller cells or cliques, including (or most especially) churches. Why do you think everyone is so concerned about looking right? Jesus don't care what you wear, but the Hens down on pew 6 sure as hell do!

Churches should not have cliques, but churches are made up of sinners. So yes, there will always be cliques. No, while I have many other faults, it is not in my nature to be part of a clique.
Sometimes a group of friends is perceived as a clique by someone who is envious of the friendship. But a group of friends is not a clique.

Almost any church that you attend or even visit will have cliques. I'm not saying that it's right, but that's one of those things that we as Christians have to pray for our church about. No matter how long and hard you look, you will not find a perfect church. We will always find things going on in our church (with or without the pastor's consent) that we know are in contradiction with the word of God. It's our responsibility to intercede and pray for those issues that He has allowed us to have the gift of discernment and see. If you're bold enough, it doesn't hurt to bring up these topics, at the appropriate times, for discussion with the body and leaders to try to come up with a resolution.

My church has cliques and I am not accepted into it. I have decided not to go back even though I have been a member for over 10 years. Church may not be for me because while it is filled with God, it is also filled with people.

this could nicely be a extensive project in some church homes and in lots of circumstances people do no longer understand that they are not doing it. the only answer for a sturdy pastor is to maintain gently reminding them that a real church is a welcoming church that's open and inclusive. If he or she is taken into consideration one of a clique then some pal has to show that out in inner maximum. The worst clique I even have seen became the team of ladies who appeared to regulate each and all the catering at social activities brilliantly. yet they had bonded so nicely that it became very complicated for a newcomer to interrupt into it. they only did no longer see it, yet to be honest to them they reacted very certainly while it became observed to them. i've got no longer seen cliques in keeping with money.

Yes, it does. I have been tempted to be a hermit. I don't think we can get away with that though, we just have to overlook the things that drive us nuts in our fellow human beings because I'll tell ya what--there is so much goofiness today I can't believe it. I have always said--It is much easier to be charitable to strangers then the people you know well. It's a good thing Jesus doesn't think like us huh?
