It refers the chewing of the whole packs content and even if u swallowed it doesn't matter bcoz u have already chewed the sugar off the gum and it's already in ur tummy :) but yea u can say one thing while ur chewing ur mouth is in constant motion so u do lose on some calories and if u just swallow the gum without chewing it then it'll b no loss of calorie at all then u'd b consuming full on calories lol hope u get my point :) so if u want to lose on some calories CHEW ur GUM lolz atleast some relief for u :)

i ought to think of of that it somewhat is on a similar time as chewing the flexibility come from the sugar indoors the gum. My mom constantly recommended me in no thank you to swallow gum, which you will desire a heck of a time attempting to take a crap. LMAO

chewing. it secretes the sugar (makes it taste good) from the gum and that is where the calories come from. doesn't matter if you swallow it or not but probably shouldn't swallow it.

It's what you get out of the gum. Like when you get a slurpy from the 7-11, and you suck out the watermellon flavoring and you're left with that useless ice at the bottom of the cup..There you go...gum is like a slurpy

You know, that's a pretty darn good question. I would think the FDA specifies that labels reflect intended use (chewing, not swallowing), but I could be wrong.

Chewed. Then again if you swallow enough of them it may fill up the stomach and you will not be hungry for awhile

In all seriousness, though, "gum" has no caloric value, in and of itself. It passes right on through, undigested and unabsorbed by the body.

Sugarless gums probably have the LEAST amount of calories, though (if you are "counting")
