It is true, she maybe trying to express her instinct to potty train. However usually that is only if there are older siblings leading the way. Mt daughter trained at two but she had three older Sib's to watch. I do not agree that hitting is a good idea since she will only associate pain with bedtime which leads to fear of sleeping. She may not even be completely aware of what she is doing or why. If she can communicate with you, you should try to find out her reason. Duct tape may produce a rash and forcing again only teaches fear association. You may want to try a few different things that are less drastic and certainly do not mean you are lazy for not doing them yet. Men tend to think we are lazy if we have a problem in child rearing, especially when they are usually not the one trying to do it. Your daughter may sleep hot like mine did and since diapers are plastic they make kids sweat more, put that on top of urine and they get uncomfortable. Try a compromise use pull ups or big girl trainers if she agrees to leave them on. Try to give her some control of her potty behavior or it will become a struggle of power, since 2 year olds can irritate in many ways, you don't want potty time to become one of the many wars you will encounter. But try to make these firsts enjoyable instead of miserable. It's the first step the first words, the first potty, etc Good luck , from a mother of 4.

Try putting the diaper on backwards and putting some overalls on or something to cover it up from easy access. She may be ready to potty train, you might want to start that too.

She's ready to be potty trained. She is trying to tell you by taking off the diaper.

Invest in some plastic sheets until she's fully potty trained. It'll save you a lot of headache.

My first question to you are you taking care of your daughter?? or you take her to a day care?? or someone you know takes care of her?? the reason I ask might be the answer to your question. Don't take me wrong, I have two kids and I have had the fortune of my mother helping me raise them. If someone else other than you or your mother is taking care of your daughter, make sure that person is a person you can trust, ask your daughter simple questions like does she feel hot?? try putting her underwear and just make sure you protect your mattress. I am a mother and I would look at both pictures. maybe she is ready to be potty trained or someone is teaching her to take her cloths off.

My daughter did the same thing, so I started putting her in one piece gymnastic biketards.. it was hard for her to get them off and the diaper stayed on.. You can find the biketards at target for around 12 bucks.. they look like bathing suits but have shorts instead of the pantie look on the bottom.. and most are made out of cotton/ spandex material, so they are comfortable.. you will have to look in the little girl section and get an xs though. my 2 year old is thin and they still fit her ok..

Sounds like it's time for potty training and a toddler bed! If she is advanced enough to get undressed, she should not be that hard to potty train. Good luck.

Sounds like she's ready to start potty training. But, if not, put some pants on her that she can't take off, or a jumper with button straps.

She is telling you she is not a baby anymore and she is ready to be potty trained... So when you catch her doing it start putting her on the potty and go from there... kids know when they are ready. :)
