A guy that i used to date a long time ago, i ran into him and ididnt speak to him but only to say hi and he?

asked my mom why i wouldnt talk to him and she said due to you and her not working out and he said well i dont want her to feel that way. Why do you think he cares whether I talk to him or not??

The question is do you care how he feels now that you know? If you do, then give him a call and ask him why he cares.
He obviously wants to at least be amicable, maybe even friends. It's up to you to decide if you want contact with him.
