DON'T put greasy lotion on it. This will irritate the skin even more and you'll get a burning sensation.

To break the desire to itch, take an ice cube and wrap it in a clean face cloth. Use this to chill your skin where it itches. An itch is caused by over-excitation of a nerve ending. Chilling it will interrupt the messages being sent to that nerve ending, and will temporarily take away the desire to itch.

Repeat as necessary.

I know you say you've already tried ice and chilled water. But you need to realize that these are only TEMPORARY measures. If you keep on doing this as necessary until tomorrow, the itch should be gone. Your skin just needs time to settle down again.

Or you could try taking Benadryl. Being an antihistamine, it should have the side effect of easing the itch.

Welcome to Adobe Photoshop. Plus, home made remedies can often require oils from health stores that I doubt you have. Either way you'll have to go to the store. Or maybe you have this: If you have any Vitamin E liquid capsules, breaking them open and applying the oil to the scarred area regularly after washing your face can help to lighten the appearance. If you have tanned skin, you can get a natural glow via lightening the skin on your face. This can be done with facial products that are expensive, but work quicker than milk. I recommend Japanese and Korean face whiteners. On the cheaper side, you can heat up a bit of whole milk, let it cool so you can apply it to your face with a cottonball without it being too hot, and let it sit for around 10 minutes. Milk has natural whitening agents that will help lighten the hair on your face and reduce pigmentation from moles, etc. You might start to see results after 2-3 months of use every night.

Poor you! There are a good few home remedies for soothing and cooling the skin, hopefully something here will work for you:

Apply slices of cool cucumber to your face (lie down first!), or mash/blend a cool cucumber & apply as a mask. You can also blend the cool cucumber with 1 teaspoon of glycerin. Keep the mixture in the fridge, and apply whenever you need to (use within 3 days).

Apply natural yoghurt (straight from the fridge) as a mask. If you can find it, add 2 tbsp of rose water to 1 pint of yoghurt and apply, then wash off with cool water.

Aloe Vera can be very soothing, but preferably in gel form, because a moisturiser could just irritate it even more. You can also buy Aloe juice from all natural shops but it is quite expensive - just keep it in the fridge then apply it gently with a cotton pad when needed.

It sounds weird, but sometimes soaking teabgs in cold water then applying to the face can be very soothing!

Another weird one - Cut a tomato in half and rub it on the sore areas for 5-10 minutes. Apparently this helps because tomatoes are rich in Vitamin C, and so help with skin repair.

Good luck, I hope you feel better soon.

Go to the drugstore and get therapy lotion designed for the face. I don't remember the name, but if you ask, they can point you to the right one. Put it on a few times a day, not a lot all at once, just a dime sized drop, rub it in well and then do it again 30 minutes later. It won't work immidiatly but you should get relief in a couple hours
I know lubriderm is fantastic. Good luck

I would try exfoliating with a natural product. Its probably dry skin or you are allergic to something. This is what I use... it smells awesome and its organic: http://www.lilou-organics.com/Scripts/prodView_brands.asp?idproduct=212

You are lucky if your skin is naturally glowy and beautiful now you just need to sooth it! If that doesn't work then try a natural moisturizer.

I have the same problem. It just takes me a couple of days to stop welting. I still have a red strip across my browline from getting waxed on 3 days ago!

Try using moisturizer that doesn't have any scent or artificial color. Possibly one that is oatmeal based.
