Possible. Just look at Jet Li. He's completely self taught just from watching years of G.I.Joe, Voltron and Thundercats.

A martial artist or sufficient experience can duplicate techniques that they have seen. Although why someone would want to copy the techniques out of anime or video games is a little beyond me. While SOME of the techniques used in those media are based on actual fighting techniques for the sake of realism, it would be far better to duplicate the techniques seen on instructional video tapes and dvd's.
So it is possible for someone that is used to copying movements to do the some of the physical techniques, but there isn't much point to it. IF you are talking about some of the more, lets say dramatic techniques, that is another matter. The idea of superhuman feats is something that could not be learned simply by watchng.

It would depend on the movement. There are some moves that are simply "fantasy" (meaning that they are outside the capabilities of the human body) like jumping straight up in the air, doing a triple flip and then changing directions before you land.
On the other hand, many moves in Tekken are based on real martial arts techniques. So, a great martial artist would be able to mimic the moves!

most techniques are based on actual techniques or disciplines in Martial Arts but're often tweaked for them to look cool in the game or Anime show, but don't have a lot of grounding in reality.
but it is possible to imitate the techniques that're in those games, but it's better to stick with actual proven techniques to avoid personal injury.
Anime is usually fantasy, like throwing fire ball's or energy blasts by focusing your chi are just fantasy and not reality.
I also agree with kveldogondlier, that imitating what you see in a video game or anime would be beyond my question of why would you want to? more than likely, you wouldn't be able to call the technique your own because it would be copyrighted by the company that created the game or movie.
and if they make references to a Martial Arts discipline in a game or Anime movie, it is usually a vague and uninformed reference, that has little or no truth to the basis of the discipline(s) mentioned.
and if you watch the acrobatics and choreography of the clip provided by Michael S, it was only judicious editing and fair choreography work that brought this clip about; entertaining, but nothing more than game enthusiasts who had the basics of kicking and punching and added a little of acrobatics to make it look cool, along with a little added "special FX".

If you are already a great martial artist, why would you be trying to learn something from a video game instead of listening to your teacher?

Yes you can! as a matter of fact, people have been known to throw Hadokens and flying uppercuts on fire! Its kinda crazy but one time I saw this guy jump 19 feet in the air and disappear and then reappear only to Axe kick this girl in the face!!! video games are TOTALLY like real life. in fact to prove my theory, today I flew to a distant Galaxy with my call sign "Master Chief" and killed tons of aliens... all and all it was a good day.

possible. Formula 1 drivers practice on video games all the time. The programs are so sophisticated now that it is an authentic reproduction of the actual event.
