They are very good and well-behaved cats except for one thing, they puncture holes in the blinds when I'm not home! I rent a townhouse, so now I'm going to have to replace all the blinds in the house, and that is A LOT of blinds and is going to be costly. How can I teach my two kitties to stop knawing on them?
I usually keep the blinds up during the day, but when I'm out at night and have the blinds down, that's what they do when they're bored. I thought it was just a phase and maybe were teething but they are now 6 months and still do it. Help?

Oh, an extra detail: My cats LOVE water! lol so spraying them with water does absolutely nothing, they don't even blink! lol

spraying the blinds with bitter apple spray from the pet store will do the trick. you'll probably have to reapply once a week. be careful not to breathe when you're spraying as you don't want to inhale any of the spray. the taste just one little breath will leave in your mouth is awful.

I spray my blinds with "Bitter Bite", which can be found in most pet stores. My cats (all adult) still chew on blinds and this is the only thing that works 100% of the time, since they do it when I'm at work, and am not there to squirt them with a water bottle.

Crinkle aluminum foil, then wrap it around the blinds, temporarily taping it to the blinds. Cats HATE tin foil. They will get the message soon enough. Also, wrap some double sided tape (sticky on both sides) around the tin foil, as well. The don't like tape or sticky things either.

A dog should be trained on how to eat, walk with you, not to bark, potty training and sleep on its place etc. You can teach anything to your puppy, dogs get trained easily with some good instructions. If you want some good training tips visit https://tr.im/4p1q5

If properly trained, they should also understand whistle and gesture equivalents for all the relevant commands, e.g. short whistle or finger raised sit, long whistle or flat hand lay down, and so on.

It's important that they also get gestures and whistles as voice may not be sufficient over long distances and under certain circumstances.

When you see them doing it spray them with a water bottle. Or put some kind of sticky something on them like double sided sticky tape. Cats hate water and sticky things

Are they chewing or climbing? For chewing the bitter apple spray from the pet store will stop that. For climbing they are probably getting big enough so they won't be able to do that much longer.

Go to the pet store and buy this bottle called "Granniks Bitter Apple" (not sure if that is the correct spelling). But, my cat hates it and he stops at once.
