In order to get a restraining order you will have to have proof you are in danger of some sort. This will also be a difficult situation if you live in the same house. If he has done anything to you or made threats or insinuations I would reccomend calling a domestic violence center and talking to someone. I am not sure this is their exact field but they will know how to help you and what should be done. They can also get you on the right path to getting a restraining order if you really need it. Good Luck.

If you love him, seek therapy rather than punishment.
If you love him tell him to stop, ask for some respect, if he doesn´t understand it then talk to a priest, minister about this situation.
If he hurted you dont do the same to him, your more mature than him and maybe he needs a lot of help.

If you truly fear for your safety then definitely yes, but you'll need to show reasonable proof to the judge. You'll need to convince the judge that your safety and well-being are at risk with this person near you. If you can't do that, just be safe and make sure you are never ever alone with him. Buy mase and carry it with you for protection.
