What are your thoughts about fathers that let their kids disrespect their mothers?

I think that the father needs to learn a few lessons in respect and human decency. These are behaviors that have been deemed (appropriately) as unacceptable. If the father will not discipline the child, then the child is being done a major disservice.
A boy's strongest role-model is his father and the father is a very strong influence in a girl's life. If he is not teaching them the difference between good and bad behavior and the consequences, who is???
This is not to say that the mother does not have a role in this, but the parent (Mom) that is being disrespected is not going to have the "pull" to make/get the kids to change the behavior when the bad behavior is being "encouraged" by the other parent (Dad).

I work with children and some are raised to be respectful and some are raised to do whatever makes them feel good- no matter who they hurt. This teaches them no good social skills. There are ways for children to deal with anger or disagreement without cursing teachers and it is amazing how understanding a mom can be if you simply use a different tone of voice to deal with them =) Therefore, fathers who do not teach kids how to be respectful are doing a great disservice to the world. These kids are the future and I want a pleasant one!

I think they need to spank their kids!!! I mean, even if the teacher was wrong...they need to learn to respect them anyway, and as for beind disrespectful to their mother, that is the worst thing that can happen, cause as they get older they will learn its ok to do whatever they want, as long as they don't get their dad mad. If the father refuses to punish them, then maybe the mother should (are you the mother?) Its the duty God gave parents to disipline their kids, and the kids will learn to respect them as they grow up, and you will have a much better relationship with your kids that way

The father obviously lacks discipline and respect himself, so how can he possibly raise a disciplined, respectful child?

I think mother should cut fathe rof funtil he comes around. I think mothers should whip some childerens butts with a paddle, cut off sweets, tv, phone/internet, and put them to early bed as soon as they do the dishes , homework, and any other chores mom cancome ou with to clean their minds of trash,
There are several ways but when children coem to th epoint of cursing ther teachers, or parents it;s best to be extremely strick.

first off the MOTHER should not let her children disrespect her.
Did the teacher deserve to be cursed out? I've known quite a few who do deserve it.

The father is either lazy or doesn't respect women authorities either. It will be the father and child's downfall in life.

i think they are cowards and are going to raise kids that are the same way. stand your ground and stay firm with them and him . don't allow them to disrespect you.
