4 Grams per 24 hours. That is 8 extra strength Tylenol, each pill has 500 mg of acetaminophen. If you are taking other pills with acetaminophen then get the amount each pill has (i.e. Vicodin has 5 mg of codeine and 500 mg of acetaminophen) do not exceed 4 grams per day. If you have a compromised renal system, I think the max dose is 2 grams per day.

4000 mg per day for 1 week (that's either 8 - 500 mg tabs taken over a 24 hr period @ 2 per 6 hours or 16 - 250 mg tabs taken in a 24 hr period @ 4 per 6 hours)

Longer only if under doctor supervision/orders

It can cause liver damage if it's taken too long or if you consume more than 3 alcoholic drinks per day.

If it says 2 tablets or ?? every 4 to 6 hours, what is that telling you???

Actually we stopped using acetaminophen after we learned it causes liver damage. We ONLY use Ibuprofen!!!!

4 grams (that's 8 extra-strength tylenols, or 12 regular-strength tylenols). Don't forget to count any acetaminophen "hidden" in other drugs. Many combination cold remedies have acetaminophen in them. So does Vicodin, Percocet, and (obviously) Tylenol w/Codeine.

Take medicines as prescribed. If you still have persistent pain, then see a doctor. Perhaps another type of pain medication will work.

The general rule of thumb is not to exceed 4000mg per day. This will differ in patients with kidney and liver problems. consult your doctor.

I wouldn't take it,

It will deteriorate your vision, meaning you'll need glasses if you take too much of it.
