Wondering if anyone else has noticed this. It is very annoying. I've noticed it my whole life though.

this is a quote from a message board

Mainly I hate the chase because if you don't know somebody is interested, all you can assume is that you have to get someone interested. That blows. And let me tell ya from experience, being the target of a chase is MUCH better. It puts the power in your hands; the battle is on home turf. Because let's face it, relationships are almost always unbalanced, and the person with the power is the person who likes the other the least. If you chase someone, you are pretty much always behind the power curve (unless they harbored some secret crush and you are only chasing them because you are bored).

Hey bro. I can only speak for myself, and what you're saying is true. From experience, the more I liked certain girls the more inclined they were to play around with what I felt. Guess what, time has gone by I've gained a little bit more maturity, and I can happily tell you that this crap will eventually change for the better. You'll actually be surprised to notice after a while that they are the ones doing the chasing. And yes, some of the ones that didn't or don't 'like' you now will be more than interested. Just be aware of what's going on and enjoy it.

Cheers

Because youre demeanor changes, instead of being yourself you become a guy that likes this girl and you light up when she comes around. You pay attention to her and you want to be real nice. The average girl doens't dig that

Make a girl earn your respect the same way you would make a guy earn it. Don't give a girl any ground just because you think she's cute. If you approach a girl with the intention of She's cute but I don't know you so I don't trust you, and I don't owe you anything. You may have a better chance, it's sounds kind of cold but it's the best way to get thier attention, DON'T GIVE HER YOUR ATTENTION SO EASLIY. Make her earn it, you'll figure it out.

Always be yourself thou and plus the girls that diss you now, will be begging for a guy to just respect them later. Girls are idiots and don't take them seriously because half the time they don't even take themselves seriously. True-er words have never been spoken there my friend.

Yea. It's intimidation. "How could a woman of this status and accomplishment" like me?
Well, when I find another one like that (and it's not too often) then I will talk with her.
There are rules though.
1. I won't approach a woman I directly work with.
2. I always assess to see if they have a personality I like, after I notice a nice or decent body.
3. Friend's girls are off limits. (I don't poach)

I think it happens to guys who are attracted to opposites. We are attracted to their strengths (our weaknesses). In fact, that woman will probably match up better with you. So give it a try.

Same here. Its life's cruel joke. One day it will work and I believe that's when you know you've found the right person.
