I bought a computer game about 5 yrs ago and it got erased somehow. Now, to install and play it again I need the 12 digit serial # that was on the packaging. I dont have the package anymore. Am I screwed or is there a universal code that works for everything?

As the other user stated there is a program you can use called a keygen. But I would contact the people that made the cd and ask if there is anyway you could recive the cdkey. Perhaps send them a picture of the cd to prove that you own it and didn't download it.

There is not a universal code. You'd have to buy the game again. Don't throw away your CD keys or serial numbers from things you buy.

Sorry :-( There is no such thing as a "universal code" for programs. If you lost the code, you need to buy a new game.

There is no universal code, however a soloution of questionable legality would be to download a keygen. But I highly advise against this, as keygen software is illegal.
