I think everyone that has ever had children has went through this at this age. I have 4 children and went through it with all 4. Thankfully the youngest just turned 4 and I won't have to deal with it again.. However, after 4 comes the next stage. It doesn't get better.
I have a bossy, mouthy, miss know it all, 13 year old going on about 25, as well. Fun stuff!!

I have a son who is 4 next week. I am at my wits end, as I work full time and I am a single mum. The only way to cope with this is to persevere and stick to your guns. I have stopped him having anything to eat or drink at bedtime and not giving in when he has a tantrum. After just 3 days he is calmer and not as hyperactive and the tantrums are already getting shorter. I hope you find this useful and good luck!

Ah, that's what happens?
I've had the terrible 2's. It's been the ignorant 3's but there is a change in the air and i'd been wondering what the 4's would bring. Now it's all starting to make sense :-)

i have a 4 year old daughter one minute shes ok then the next she has a tantrum i dont know why she does it she has been in full time day care since she was 6 weeks old and they have never had a problem with her i think in my case its because i dont give her as much attention as i should do and she is craving my attention at day care she gets all the attention she needs i noticed when i give her all my attention she is fine

Yes!!! my 4 yr old is unbelivable at times, cries if you try to help him wants to do it himself, cries if you dont help immediately when he does ask and thats just the tip of the iceberg. I have a 20yr old and a 17yr old, all boys, and I dont ever remember them being this bad but on the other hand, he can also be funny and very loving. Have to take the good with the bad but sometimes it would drive you CRAZY!!!

all children want what they cant have and mine do the same!! at four they are just realising whats going on in the world and want all the good thing and want attention. i fnd it best to ignore them or take them by the hand calmly and put them in their bedroom and sit by the door and dont make a noise until theyve calmed down. this is really silly but my four year old daughter abbi was looking through a catalogue crying for a barbie and wouldnt shut up so i acted the way she was acting and she stood in amazement. it shut her up!!GOOD LUCK
