If I have breakfast, then certainly after, as I don't want to have bits of cornflakes stuck between my teeth all day. If I don't have breakfast, I'll brush them when I get up. Sometimes I do that anyway, eg if I have a bit of a hangover or I feel like freshening up my mouth for some reason.

Good question. Everybody is different. It looks like its 50-50. I brush when I get up during the week because I don't really eat breakfast until later in the morning. On the weekend however, I eat first, then brush. If you brush, floss, rinse, and scrape your tongue before you go to bed, you shouldn't really have bad morning breath to spoil your breakfast.

You should brush your teeth as soon as you get up to rid your mouth of bacteria that has developed there overnight rather than ingesting this with breakfast. However you should also brush after every meal

When you get up in the morning, it is wise to brush before you eat to remove any bacteria from your teeth and mouth that has build up over night. Also it will not continue to build after you eat breakfast.

I used to brush mine after breakfast, right up until I left school. Then I started uni and started to skip breakfast, so I would naturally do them after I showered. It has now become habit, as I do them after I shower and before breakfast.

I heard that you are meant to brush your teeth before breakfast, as doing so after breakfast, your enamel will be softer (?!) having been through the grinding and chewing action from eating food, and if you brushed them after this, it would further weaken them.

There you go - thought that would make your night?!?!?!

I first gargle a mouth rinse. After breakfast, that's when I brush. I also use Crest White Strips sample for whiter teeth. Check out this site http://www.upkb.com/crestwhitestrips.php so you'll also learn more about dental care.

Upon waking up, after breakfast, after lunch, after dinner, then lastly before bed. Not to mention floss and Listerine. We have to take care of our assets. And I love to flash mine, but I also like a nice glass of wine, tea and few other treats, not good for the teeth. Teeth and nice breath, big plus in my book. Why do people neglect, I'll never know?
