Ummmm...instead of injecting the jam horizontally you could do it vertically.

My method is to flatten the dough and to spoon some jam in the middle of the circle thus formed. I then fold the circle all round it, pinching the end closed, turn it over and roll it slightly on the pastry board to try to reduce the pinched appearance. By the time it has puffed up in the oil you can't see the join!

you could make half a doughnut, a dish shaped thing, and then fill the hollow with jam before sandwiching it under the other half.

"doughnut" - to crowd around an MP or television event to give the impression of a large attendance.

"jam" - stop working.

Answer - shout "Terrorists" loudly.

It will "jam" the crowd and explode the "doughnut"!

use a large syringe, like for giving injections, but without the needle, to inject jam into the middle

I think you need a cooking syringe like they use on the cooking show to inject flavor into meat or chicken. Good luck
