I'm from the West Midlands, I have never been on any dentists books, because I spent most of my life working overseas!
I've never been very happy visiting any dentist anywhere!
However I am no longer working overseas and thought I had better go and book in to a NHS dentist!! What a performance, no wonder the Americans think we all have rotten teeth in the UK!!
I had a couple of roots that needed pulling, I eventually walked into a NHS 'walk in' centre (they are dotted about all over the place) I said I had a raging tooth ache (which I didn't) I was taken straight to the 'in house' dentist no waiting about, no "come back in 6 months time" the both roots pulled, no pain, fantastic service, I think I paid about £15, try that believe me it works!!
Any dentists reading this you are a money grabbing bunch of parasites!!!!! There are a few exceptions, like the guy I saw in the 'walk in' centre, but very few!!

If you are a nervous patient, no dentist, private or NHS, will ever be any good, believe me. I am currently trying to arrange to get all my tooth work done at once, in hospital, under a general anasthetic..Not the easiest (or cheapest) route and I have to wait, but I am incurably nervous, Valium doesnt have any effect on me etc, I cant get in the chair to have the work done. But now I worry about anasthetic awareness instead.
So, good luck with that...
