You won't be able to loose 20lbs in one week safely. Even if you didn't eat anything all week you still couldn't loose 20lbs in a week and that wouldn't be safe to even try that. Even if you had a month, loosing 20lbs would be extremely hard. If you need to loose weight then I recommend some diet and exercise. Running is the best way to loose weight. Cutting out some carbohydrates out of your diet will work too. This means no sweets, no white breads, no pastas, no sugar sodapop, no alcohol. Only whole grain bread, water or unsweetend tea or diet colas, lots of protein, ie chicken, tuna, eggs, steak, pork, fish etc. So if you started running a 1/2 hour a day and cut back on your carbohydrates you should be able to loose 10-15lbs by this time next month. I hope this helps. Good luck and be safe.

Trying to lose 20 lbs in a week is really a very bad idea. It's considered healthy to lose 2 - 3 lbs when trying to lose weight. The only ways you could lose that much weight is, as said before meth and other drugs that are the equivilant of a death sentence, or gallons of fruit juice, which will just give you the runs (aka, you'll be... um, using the bathroom the point where you're so dehydrated you'll probably get really sick).

If you had a month and a half, I'd say exercise with aerobic exercise (jogging, swimming, running, walking, things that get your heart rate up) and reduce the calories in your diet a bit.

That's a site that can help you figure out how much you would need to reduce your diet by.

This site tells how many calories certian exercises burns.

But losing that much in a week is not possible unless you want to really cause (possibly) permant damage your body.

This is an extremely unhealthy goal, and most likely an impossible one.

The only way to lose weight is to expend more calories than you take in. This is best accomplished by a combination of exercise and a moderate diet. If you were to somehow lose 20 pounds in a week it would be because your body would think that it was starving.

The very next chance it got, your body would try to pack on the pounds again to prepare for this next famine. Not only would your weight be back to where it was before your "diet," but you would probably be a little heavier.

Impossible, unless maybe you weigh 600-700 pounds. Then only maybe. If you want to lose weight quickly, though, you might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout to use as well.

You can not safely lose 20 pounds in 1 week.
You can lose some weight however. Stop eating/drinking anything with suger first. Drink a lot of water. NO caffine too.
Cut down ( not out ) carbs and increase your protein intake. Drink a lot of water....

PLEASE do not let anyone that is trying to sell you a diet plan or sign you up for Amway or any multi-level marketing fool you. You will get a lot of offers to send in your $$$ for their 'best kept diet secrets'....

--------------You did not gain the 20 pounds in one week and you can not lose it in one week.-------------------- Weight lose is a long term life changing event not a fad.........

Drink a lot of water...

Thanks
God Bless, Jesus Love you...

Cardio + Light weight training + Proper Diet = Goal

* Eat whole food
Top weight loss tips
Eat whole foods that are as natural as possible. When you eat whole foods that are full of nutrients your body will know how much to eat and how much not to eat. You do not have to count calories because your body is a wonderful machine. Suggest eating veggies, fruits, and proteins. Stay away from junk food, fried food, and anything else that you feel is bad for you.

* Eat fresh fruit
Eat at least two servings of fresh fruit every day. Choose whatever type of fruit is in season. Also consume protein because both fruits and protein can fill you up and it makes your stomach seem like its full.

* Drink enough water
Drink the best weight loss supplement known to man, water. Most people do not know the difference from being hungry for food or thirsty for water. A great deal of times people eat when they should drink. Most likely you will not feel as hungry if you are getting enough water. You will be satisfying the thirst, which is confused for hunger. Water also helps you digest food better. Drinking water before you eat will help fill you up.

* Always chew your food
Always chew your food well. Chewing your food well will ensure that you get the most nutrients out of your food. Getting the most nutrients will satisfy your body therefore you will eat less. Another benefit of chewing well is that it helps aid in digestion.

* Take small meals
Eat small, frequent meals in a day. Large meals tax your digestion system, making it work harder. Taking too much time in between meals makes you hungrier for the next meal. That means eat 5-6 meals a day instead of 3 huge meals a day.

* Include protein at meal
Include good sources of protein at meal, chicken, fish, legumes, peanut, cottage cheese, eggs or yogurt.

* Shut off TV while eating
Shut off the TV whenever you eat – that includes meals and snacks. Studies show that we automatically eat larger portions when we snack in front of the tube, and typically those foods are high in fat and sugar, which means excess calories!

* Increase your physical activity ( Cardio )
Increase your physical activity. Most people are over weight because of a lack of physical activity. Start walking more, bicycling, walks your dog for longer periods of time, swim, dance and leave the car at home when you can. It’s important that you choose a physical activity that you enjoy because you’ll stick with it.

*Weight training ( Light 5 to 10 lbs )
buy some dumbells that are 5-10 lbs and do some exercises with them. Search google: Dumbell exercises and you will see a bunch of useful links along with pictures and description on how to do it. When gaining weight but your doing everything correctly and see changes in your shape, that means you are building muscle and muscle weighs more than fat so dont be alarmed when that happens. You can workout in front of the TV and watch your favorite episode of whatever and it will make time go by faster

The website below has many different exercises listed and it has pictures to go along to show you how its properly done

Even extreme weight loss fanatics haven't been able to do that much...you'd have to cut off your arms ..lol...that wouldn't be healthy either would it? 8-10 lbs is the most recommended to lose in a month. I suppose if it's a one time thang to lose 20 in a MONTH that wouldn't be too bad though - but not in a week.

Exercise! Believe me, it's the only way to have a fit body. Along with regular exercise, you may also control your food intake with Weight Loss/Hoodia sample. These will help develop firmer muscles, while you burn fats and shed off those extra pounds. Check out this site http://www.upkb.com/weightloss.php for more info.

1 pound = 3,500 calories

20 X 3,500 = 70,000

days in a week 7

70,000/7 = 10,000 calories needed to burn a day

you burn 12 calories per pound resting, so lets say you weigh
150

150 X 12 = 1,800

10,000 - 1,800 = 8,200 left for exercise

at 150 pounds you need to run 69.2 miles to burn 8,200 calories

So simply dont eat and run 69.2 miles a day, too easy.
