Both sexes of dogs 'hump'...and not only other dogs, but my Yorkie would hump my cat. And having them 'fixed' does not correct the problem....some dogs are just horny, hummm, like most men. LOL! ;)

It has absolutely nothing to do with sexuality. It is a show of dominance, and your dachshund is showing your pincher that she is the boss.

Trying to show who's the the main Beaaatch! Which is older, which did you have first? When does it happen? Sometimes or constantly?Female dogs get excited too, it's probably hormonal, not just males get excited, ya know!, Could be she's really just trying to re-establish her authority or a combination of both. They are not Gay, I'm sure, just Happy!

In obedience class the teacher told us that it is not just sexual it is a lot of times about showing who is the boss. It is a territorial thing.

I think it's a dominance thing, both my male and female Shih Tzu's are fixed, and they do it to each other when they're playing and wrestling. Nothing to worry about.

min pins are extremely dominant, so I am suprised she is letting a dachsund hump her, but this is a dominance issue.
