I have been to AA before and I just can't really affiliate. Maybe its the groups that I met with but I just didn't find anyone that I could really affiliate with.

Both have face to face meetings and online support.

Rational Recovery:

Rational Recovery no longer holds meetings; many swear by this individual approach. Although they sell their methods, most of it is found free on their site.

I have heard of a group called Rational Recovery that uses a model that is different than the 12-step model, and does not base recovery on any need or dependence on a higher power or god. It is not as common as AA so might be harder to find groups but if you live in a decent-sized town, you will probably be able to find one.

I just looked at their site, I guess they don't have "groups" but they have lots of helpful info on the site. Good luck!

Have you tried Celebrate Recovery? It is similar to AA but the "higher power" is Jesus. I found in AA defining my own higher power to be a problem. I have done MUCH better with CR

Try NA, I have heard others say they can't relate to those in AA and have tried NA with success.
Good Luck in your recovery and remember 'one day at a time'
