1) The aspect where people degenerate into name calling and bigotry rather than try to find a practical solution. 2) The issue where business (meat packing, construction, domestics, food services) gets to use the cheap labor because the local governments (charity hospitals, schools, and social services) underwrite the cost of assimilating them through the tax payer.

I came to the USA legally five years ago. In a few months I will swear allegiance to this country as a new citizen, God willing. It concerns me that people see some virtue in "undocumented workers" coming here, earning a wage (and getting praise for doing so because allegedly they do jobs Americans don't want) and then watching the money leave the country without anything being paid to the US Treasury.

I have never understood the idea that Americans won't do certain jobs. That is a gross generalization that is unfair, to say the least.

End of rant.

Enforcing the law. We did "amnesty" already and didn't enforce the law and that's why we're here now. I cannot see how there is even the slightest means of having any "comprehensive" reform when it seems there is no law that is acceptable to them to enforce. They proposed a very liberal "comprehensive" plan. Within those very liberal limits Elvira still would not have qualified for amnesty. Any limits are not acceptable. Many of the ICE raids are people that are convicted felons and instead of being glad to get rid of the worst of the group, they want to stop deportation till some agreement is made. They don't want to have to learn English, don't want to be held responsible for ANYTHING and demand things that even our own citizens don't have. I want to see them throw a bone of compromise and some accountability for illegal behavior. It concerns me that this is the end of America if there isn't some serious action done. Citizenship will mean nothing. Laws will mean nothing and I see this country being so deeply divided that I don't know if will ever recover.

The TERRORIST getting in bothers me the most.

The terrorist are being helped by Mexico and other Latin Countries! It only took 19 to take the Twin Towers down!

In 2005 as many as 4 - 10- million illegal aliens crossed into the United States illegally.

During 2005, Boarder Patrol apprehended approximately 1.2 million illegal aliens; of those 165,00 were from Countries other than Mexico. Of the non-Mexican aliens, approximately 650 were from special interest countries. (Terrorist countries)

Homeland Security Report, Page - 4

There is an ever-present threat of terrorist infiltration over the Southwest boarder. U.S. immigration and Customs Enforcement investigations have revealed that aliens were smuggled from the Middle East to staging areas in the Central and South America, before being smuggled illegally into the United States.

Members of Hezbollah have already entered the United States across the Southwest boarder.

U.S. Military and intelligence officials believe that Venezuela is emerging as a potential hub of terrorism in the Western Hemisphere. The Venezuelan government is issuing identity documents that could subsequently be used to obtain a U.S. visa and enter the country.

Here is my spin............

I find it sad and faintly amusing that our ELECTED OFFICIALS who are the ONLY ones who can help solve our immigration issue........haven't made this issue important before the election year.

We have two congressional hopefuls here in Texas (one who has been reelected 3 times) and NOT ONCE has his campaign been geared toward the need for border security or illegal immigration control.....BUT....BUT....this year his campaign and his challenger has been ONLY AIMED at this subject and the others stance on it.

I find it a political ploy that will GO AWAY once one has been elected and they will go back to the issues that REALLY concern them.

So my concern........nothing will be done about this problem and it will fester and explode with VERY bad results.

First and foremost is the people that support the illegals inability,or refusal to see this as a crime......
The apathy of some of our fellow Americans about a very serious problem. It seems that until it affects them directly in some negative way, they don't think of the influx of millions of illegals is a threat to this country's stability.
One of the most important issues to me are the Marxist radical groups such as La Raza and their supporters of the hostile take over of the south west.Theses are not ignorant uneducated people. They are the ones who fired up the illegals to march in the streets and to desecrate our nations flag. They don't care about the illegal, they are simply using them for their own evil agenda.

Read the words of LaRazas founder:::

"We have an aging white America ... They are dying ...We have got to eliminate the gringo, and what I mean by that is if the worst comes to the worst, we have got to kill him."
Jose Angel Gutierrez, professor, University of Texas, Arlington and founder of the La Raza Unida political party

Or another speaker ::::::::

"If anyone's going to be deported, it's going to be you! ... Get out! We are the future. You're old and tired. Go on. We have beaten you – leave like beaten rats. You old white people, it is your duty to die. Right now, we're already controlling those elections, whether it's by violence or nonviolence. Through love of having children we're going to take over." Augustin Cebada, information minister of Brown Berets, militant para-military soldiers of Aztlan shouting at U.S. citizens at an Independence Day rally in Los Angeles.

This is some of the things that bother me about this issue, there are many more too.

Everyone always yells about border control. We all agree something needs to be done so that doesnt help when I need to figure where my vote will go. What I want to know is what are you gonna do about the Illegals that are already here, I dont think amnesty is the key. What about these corporations giving the Illegals jobs what are you gonna do about them. What about benefits that Illegals get what are you gonna do about that.
