I have a friend who would like to go off on her own with her two children. She needs to start of from scratch. She says she would even go to a state that provides well for single moms, shelter, and government help. It is tough here in Calif.

I live in Indiana and there are Womens shelters here that even provide saftey from her husband or bf ,they will provide classes ,help you find a job,home,daycare just about anything your looking for

Stay away from MA. Living costs are brutal out here. I hear Arizona is one of the best.
