My friend's girlfriend will celebrate her 20th birthday today and he does not know what to get her. They've been dating for about two months and the relationship is blossoming into something more special. Any ideas?
I've also suggested a sunset picnic by the beach and later dinner at a seaside cafe. What do you think?

A 20 year old Guy :-)

I guess its so hard unless you know her very well, the best gifts dont always cost the most. Why not suggest he gives her 5 favours which means she can ask him for 5 things without him refuseing her (within reason obviously)

Other than that, cash always works

Most girls like romance, so the sunset picnic by the beach sounds awesome. Also, some beautiful flowers and a box of candy (Godiva) would be very nice too. If he's good with words, a poem would certainly make her happy. And if money is an issue, he could rent a chick flick, buy some popcorn and a bag of candy, and have her over for a fun evening of watching a movie selected just for her, and simply being together.

A Virbator!

LMAO I'm just kidding.... a 20 yr old you say? My Goodness I haven't beenthat age in many many years.. So I'mlost here buddy...

But maybe take her out for a nice romantic dinner.. Flowers are just to over rated anymore.. But I guess they would work, Alot cheaper than a Diamond ring I suppose... lol But what difference does it make.. As long as the two are happy and are getting along so great as you put it.. It doesnt matter what they do or where they go as long as they have fun doing it.

This is not one of my better answers.. But it seems everything now a days is so Materialistic its pathetic..

you're coming near way TOO stable... scarey.... She has a BF and it extremely is not YOU so lower back off basically a splash and don't get so own which includes your latest suggestions.... hazard is, you will merely scare her away for stable, she'll think of you're CREEPY!! easily, you may get a lots greater effective reaction in case you basically wanted her happy birthday then provided to purchase her a drink / coffee and a cupcake or muffin at school!! No rigidity, no over the precise provides, those extremely are irrelevant as you're merely her chum and classmate. Take my suggestion and you may get appreciation. Do it your way, you will lose her for valuable.

Make it something from the heart. If your friend can sing, sing a song that has special meaning, like Jim Brickman's Valentine. If can write, write a nice poem. I like your idea about the picnic. What it is just make sure it is from the heart, that would have more meaning to her than anything that can be bought in a store.

A romantic dinner would be nice along with flowers. A nice piece of jewelry would work well too. Nothing outrageous or overly expensive, but a pretty necklace or a bracelet would be very sweet indeed.

A teddy bear! And roses! And a picnic! And, um, just something nice... I don't think that she's going to care what he gets her as long as it's not something trashy or whatever. :) I'm 21 and I would personally LOVE to get a teddy bear from my boyfriend! It'd be so sweet!

Any small item like a pendant in her favourite animal or flower motif (to always remember the day), and flowers(for the surprise factor) and the seaside dinner (romance!)....
