good question. have you ever noticed in the bible god killed and did more damage then satan ever did? because satan cannot physically harm us (according to the bible) and nowhere in the bible does it show satan mass killing groups of us. however god murdered people left and right, he created chaos with the seperation of languages, and he "created evil" (according to the bible). perhaps their god is the real satan, making himself out to be god, fooling all the christians, while satan is the real god who was overthrown and cant do anything about it...

That is a really good question. I am a christian and I just trust that God is Good.
That is why it is called Faith. Having faith. All you can do is live your life according to the laws of the Bible which we have been given and have faith.
I know that since becoming a christian it has make a huge difference in my life for the better. So i know that the path i was on before i was on my way to divorce, unhappiness. etc.
Now it doesnt matter what problem i am faced with it always turns good.
By following the principles of the Bible you actually become a better person and do good. That is not evil. The good things the bible tells us include forgive (this is a hard one but when you do you are better off for it), be honest (also hard for many, but wow what integrity you have when you do), love others etc etc etc.
I used to pray to the "goodness of the universe" before i became a christian because i was scared that i was praying to something evil. By praying to the "goodness of the universe" i was led to church and finding God.
God = good
Devil = evil
Just look at the letters!!! It is right. Dont let satan deceive you!!!!

you know what? Satan wanted to be equal with God and God said no. He didn't like that answer and ever since the fall of satan and his followers their only mission has been to lie, deceive, manipulate and prey on people's weakness in order to destroy what God has made. Your very question reflects that influence. In a world were satan has tried to make people believe there are no absolutes, no good and evil, no black and white finally we come to the point where everything is topsy turvy; good is evil and evil is good, truth is preverted and wickendness is glorified. Thats ok though, that just points to the fact the we are close to the second coming of Christ, this has all been prophesied about thousands of years ago that in the end times this exact thing would happen. Satan is a god, no doubt about it, but he is the god of this world which is going to pass away and he will be locked away forever where he will never be able to tempt anyone ever again. My God, the God of Truth and Light and Love is also a fearsome God of Wrath because He is a Jelous God and will not share His glory with anyone. Accept that or reject it, but I am kind of partial to sticking to the side I know in advance is going to win.

The Bible was not man's interpretation!
The Bible was written From God THROUGH man. The men that "wrote the Bible" were filled with Holy Spirit (they were inspired to write God's words down in a way that we humans understand.) Jesus came down and spoke about the Bible (even quoting scriptures)
Jesus said that Satan is the evil one (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John,Revelation) and in Genesis Satan is the one that started the whole mess we're in with fooling Eve into eating the forbidden fruit

The word Satan means opposer. Also he is said to be the father of the lie, The original manslayer. He doen't resent or deny his part in evil. He enjoys it. He seeks victims and enjoys harming them. Just like many people do. See John: 8:44 and 1 Peter 5:8

Christians believe the Bible is the Word of God. The Bible says that Satan is the evil one. Therefore, Christians believe it.

Because the bible tells us so, Satan is the father of all sin and sin is disobedience to our Father in heaven, God created Satan and Satan wanted to take over but of course we know that God already won that war.

The inspired word of God, The Bible. More than good enough for me.
Also, this question makes me remember a verse that basically says that near the end times, the good will be called bad, and bad, good.
