It seems like many non muslims are very surprised when they goto mosque open houses or study Islam from authentic sources. I believe that education is the key to understand other cultures and break down stereotypes. My opinion is that Muslims and Non Muslims alike should have more interfaith dialogues.

"O humankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know each other (not that you may despise each other). Verily, the most honored of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things)." (Quran Chapter 49:13)

Hello Rallie,

My intention was to have each person/group cite authentic and
correct info about their own beliefs. These days, we see many stereotypes (I see alot). I wanted to give the opportunity for everyone to do this as a global effort to introduce oursleves. The Quranic verse that I quoted mentioned this so that we might understand each other. The world is diverse. People are always talking about negative ideas. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. That why we are human. Whyislam.org is a project that I have come to know which tries to achive this objective: To educate non muslims about the true Islam and break down the sterotypes. I wanted to create a "VIRTUAL INTERFAITH DIALOGUE" where we can try to know and understand each other.

In an answer a few days ago, someone asked a valid question;" If you want to know the truth about what someone believes would you go to his enemies for the answer?" So I think if you want to be fair you should seek the official site for any organization about which you have questions. Then your decision about them is not based on the opinion of outsiders who often are victims of hearsay.

The site you have just forwarded already hints in terms of Islamic knowledge as the only source of universal belief. Well, the word Catholic in Greek means universal so already there will be rift in what you are suggesting. If you really are seriously unbiased to what you are suggesting, then you should invite people of all religions in one study organization call THEOSOPHICAL SOCIETY. All aspect of beliefs are printed there for your studies including the occult and learnings brought from above and below.

I would look into a book called 'The Kingdom of the Cults". Wealth of information there. The author is Walter Martin.
Hope that answers the questions...
Thank you for the offer on the invite, but I'm all set with 'the way, the truth, and the life. No one gets to the Father but by me.' That would be words of Jesus Christ. :)

I agree. Most people who take the time to learn about the Mormon faith are surprised at the similarities it has with their own, and find that we're not as "weird" as they once thought.

i anticipate you're conversing approximately faith, yet to get a various attitude, permit's look at it from a various perspective. permit's take worldwide Warming for occasion. If I have been to assert to you that i've got faith the IPCC that the predictions on worldwide Warming have been precise, that should be actual faith, via fact i could have faith of their understanding and could anticipate that they know what they're conversing approximately. If, despite the fact that if, I have been to assert that i've got faith in worldwide Warming via fact Al Gore pronounced it grew to become into so, and he was Vice-president, and he's in order that captivating that he does no longer might desire to lie approximately something, that should be blind faith. the version is that one is extremely authoritative, and the different is merely based completely on your opinion of issues that have no longer something to do with the subject handy. Now flow that to faith. i've got faith as I do via fact my parents, or my minister advised me that this grew to become into the religion for me. that's extremely authoritative and could be lifelike to have an actual faith in. If, despite the fact that if, you have been to deliver a bunch of money to a television evangelist via fact he grew to become into flashy, charismatic, and appeared to have "Gods power to heal," a minimum of on television, then that should be blind faith, considering you haven't any longer any clue to the surely reasons of this individual, and your faith in his word is in step with issues different than authenticity.
