I've heard that Muslim is the fasted growing religion in the world. Does that mean Americans need to be concerned about our Christian religion and fear a take over by Muslim leaders?

I have a dream to develop a distinctive American Islamic culture, and I enjoy imagining to myself what forms it would take. I am confident that in the long term this can happen, but there are still many hurdles to get over although I think they are all solvable by time. Especially if the Muslim community becomes confident that it is here to stay, that it has something that post-Christian America needs desperately — a religion that solves the problems yet has the same teachings of the Biblical prophets (peace be upon them and upon all the righteous servants of God).

absolutely not, the fastest growing religion is no religion at all. Christians are just as bad/good as muslims, buddhists, etc. The sooner people realize you should do the right thing, not because your worried about sinning or going to hell, but simply because it is how you would want to be treated, the better off we'll be. I think religion had it's place in the rise of civilized societies to get people to conform, but who needs religion today? Do you really think a perfectly nice hindu person is not going to heaven because they're not christian or whatever? Religion is just a facade invented because all human have an innate sense of not wanting to be alone.

I don't know where you get your information about Islam the most fasted growing religion. That is in the most Muslims attention no doubt about it. They are working so hard to make other people think that why. They always tell you or me who convert to Islam.Don't you ever think why they never say any think about other Muslims leaving Islam and some times they do leave Islam very quietly other wise they will loose their life or their beloved one.

I really don't think any religion will fully take over the United States. Islam may gain popularity in urban centers but I think for the most part it will remain secondary in popularity to Christianity.

I'm not stating a preference, just my observation. I consider all religions to be devisive and destructive to humanity.

Secularism is growing faster in the west than either Christianity or Islam. Odds are atheism will take over the US rather than Islam. The trend is already clear among the current youth.

I highly doubt it. People here wouldn't give up all the freedoms and luxuries they have here to pray 5 times a day. Gee, I hope that extraterrestrials aren't Muslim.

Never. They will start by condemning their practices as heresy and will then ban all Muslims from the country. They've learned from Europeans how to deal with people that make them "uncomfortable." Anyone knows you can't trust a woman behind a veil!

Fear attracts such possibilities. Is any religion a good thing if it overpowers the world? I think not. If your faith is strong nothing can touch it.
