My daughter is over 2 years old and I still don't have my pre baby body back yet. I have lost all the weight and now have all this wrinkly hanging skin. How do I get rid of this? Also, is there an effective way to get rid of strech marks? I am a size 3 and I gained quite a bit of weight when I had her. Help please......

Most of the wrinkly skin is around my belly button.

My aunt and my mother swore by Vitamin E and cocoa butter to get rid of stretch marks. Possibly, you could schedule an appointment with a dermatologist so they can give you some options on getting rid of the wrinkly skin around your belly button. Best of luck :)

I think sometimes it is just luck how your body goes after pregnancy. I had my baby 10 months ago, but in all honesty, my body went back to it's pre pregnancy shape as soon as I had given birth - my doctor was amazed - no stretch marks, no 'tummy' - just a flat tummy like before! I didn't have to do any exercise or anything, didn't diet - just as soon as the baby popped out, my body was just as it had been - I wasn't very big though and continued wearing my own clothes right through the pregnancy - no maternity clothes, and I didn't make the mistake of 'eating for two', but I know that lots of women do have problems. About wrinkly skin, I think the only way to get rid of this is to have it surgically removed, as it won't go away any other way.

I have 2 kids, the youngest just turned 2. I am back to my pre-pregnancy weight but my stomach is full of stretchmarks and the skin, somewhat (not very) loose. I tried Palmers Cocoa butter for stretchmarks and also a stretchmark cream from Avon. I used them religiously for at least 6 months each but none of them works. I tried abs exercises, too. As to the hanging skin, a tummy tuck would get rid of it including some of the stretchmarks on your belly but I think that's too drastic so think hard if you really want to do it. My husband doesn't mind my wrinkly skin and my stretch marks to I try not to worry too much about it. I no longer wear halter tops, though, because I don't like people to see my belly. But sometimes, that's the price we have to pay for having a precious child! It's worth it, don't you think?

My youngest daughter is now eleven. I had the very same problem and searched high and low for a solution. I looked into cosmetic as well as, finally, surgical solutions. Back when I was searching, the remedies weren't as advanced as they are now. Look into Strivectin (spelling?), I think it MIGHT improve stretch marks, somewhat, but it takes ALOT of time, and it won't fade them completely. NOTHING short of an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) will get rid of the LOOSE skin. I was a fitness competitor, and you can tone/tighten your abdominal muscles all you want, but the skin has been stretched and won't totally tighten back up, IF you have stretched it too much. Some women's skin do 'snap' back, but usually they are not left with loose skin, after losing the excess weight.

Also, keep in mind when trying to remedy stretch marks...a stretch mark is actually where your skin as been TORN...topical solutions can only fade them...they can never repair them. Vitamin E oil/lotions can only sometimes PREVENT them by keeping the skin pliable BEFORE it stretches to the point of tearing.

Laser surgery/treatments have come a very long way. You might want to look into those as well, for the stretch marks.

Btw, I have had an abdominoplasty, it was the best decision for ME. It is not for everyone, though. They have different surgeries available...they have a major abdominoplasty where they tighten up your abdominal muscles (like a corset), and then a 'mini' tummy tuck, where they just remove some skin. In making this decision, remember...you will have an incision/scar from hip to hip. There are side effects, and risks involved with any surgery and you must consult with a doctor for this procedure (of course). Also, if you opt for surgery, DO NOT go for the 'discount' surgeons/surgery...MAKE SURE your surgeon is A BOARD CERTIFIED PLASTIC SURGEON WITH THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF PLASTIC SURGERY.

I am not suggesting you go out and get surgery, but this is just my experience. Good luck.

Okay first of all your husband really needs to back off. It takes time to get back to your normal body weight. I'm 22 and I was a size 5 before I got pregnant. My son is now 3 months old and I am still 5 lbs shy of my preprego weight. I know how you feel when you say that you feel bad about your body and you and your husband havent been intimate. Give him time. He'll come around. Me and my fiance went two months after my son was born to be intimate. But finally he came around. Are you breastfeeding? If so, that will really help you shed the lbs. If not don't worry. You just had a baby 6 wks ago girl. Your body isn't going to go poof skinny again. Just try to eat healthy and make sure you eat a good breakfast, it'll speed up your metabolism. And like I said it took 3 months but I'm getting there, and I don't have time to work out either. I just try to eat healthy and try not to eat past like 6:30. (Eating late packs on the pounds). Well I hope this helps and good luck. And remember all of us women go through it. It's life. In a few months I bet you'll be back to your same self! :)

I didnt have any babies obviously but I did have a rapid weight gain and then rapid weight loss and I know what you are talking about.

I found that the best best solution for the stretch marks is Strivectin-D. The the solution for the stomach is sit ups and some type of firming facial quality mosturizer. I recommend Epicuren Collostrum Serum.

Now I have the same tummy I had at 18.

Sit ups, sit ups and then you have the joy of doing more sit ups. Walking helps a lot, so does running, stretching, and more importantly back exercises. And you are lucky to have lost the weight. Took me over 6 years to lose all mine, but still have the stretch marks. Lots of people will tell you to use cocoa butter, which I've done, and it hasn't done a thing to help me yet. And yes, I exercise a lot, both stomach and back and my stretch marks have only gotten whiter, but still noticeable.

Gongrats for getting back to your pre baby wieght, but as our bodies change with age, and having children, you will likely not be able to have your pre baby body back. My husband says that is just a badge of honor for all i went through having children. I say I still want a tummy tuck!!!

for the stretch marks, you must use "bio oil" and for the saggy skin - stop eating junk food. It clutters your blood circulation. Start spinning at your local qym. Do NOT do ANY weight training!

plastic surgery is the only thing that can help this! Or just get pregnant again....that should tighten it up for a few months! =0)
