my cat drooled before she had a tumor in her jaw... it got bigger and bigger and she eventually died from it... drooling can happen from a tooth problem too.. did you just ASK the vet or did the vet inspect her jaw and her teeth? make sure a vet looks at your cat and it cant hurt to get a 2nd opinion.. bring up the idea of tooth problem or tumor in jaw and have mouth inspected well.. if all is still okay.. then get that kitty a bib! :)

I have had my cat ashes since I was about 12 or 13. I am now 19 and about to turn 20 and she has been a drooler all her life. When her and I run around together and I play with her a lot, she always starts to smile and drool. I call it smiling because she looking right at me with her mouth wide open and eyes wide too. She looks so cute, i just dont pick her up at all just play with her mostly to stop the drool spots.

I have never had a cat that drools, but a friend of mine did. It was somewhat gross, but I always thought it was a happy thing so I didn't let it bother me too much.

I have a cat that starts drooling the minute you start petting him. There is nothing you can do about it. Just grab a napkin before you sit down to pet your cat, and blot its mouth periodically before it can wipe its mouth or drip on you.

My cat Ching-Ching did that (god bless her soul). Of probably the 10 cats I've had in my life, she's the only one that did that.
Was pretty gross though.
And I agree with the vet, it's a happy thing, like purring, or kneading some cats do.

i have owned many cats and have had three that were droolers....its more common with persians but not limited to them......its very hard to deal with a drooler but there are ways....keep a wash cloth on hand for when you have her on your lap.....you can wipe her chin while you scratch it at the same time....keeps your clothes from getting wet

My cat drools, you just have to get used to it unfortunately. Its usually cats who are really affectionate who drool.

Some kittys do drool when they are content & purring with you. I did have one who did myself
But- it could also be a sign of dental prob.s-( which mine did have) so ya might wanna get her checked
Either way...remember as gross as it may be....their love for us is UN-conditional even in our worst days.
Take care
