Follow your doctors advice, to the letter. Without a doubt, more than likely your spine will not get better, even with time. You may try, with physical therapy but I doubt it. Discs do not heal in the sense that there going to be O.K. down the line, again.
If it's pressing against the spinal cord it could cause an infection, maybe this is why your getting ill.
Have you seen an surgeon (bone)? if you haven't got a orthopedic surgeon your doctor can and will refer you to one. This is where your going to end up I'm afraid. Don't go crazy with physical excesses, you'll aggravate the spine, making it worse.

usually discs improve with time - signs of spinal cord compression would be both legs going numb, loss of bowel/bladder function - diffuse body weakness could be from not moving for a prolonged period- sitting and bending over usually hurts the worst - use a lumbar cushion for your low back to sit straight

Get to a CHIROPRACTOR for an adjustment. The T7 effects the stomach. It sounds like you have pinched nerves . If the T7 is out of alignment it can cause stomach aches and vomiting. Been there done that.

Please if you want to get better immediately go ASAP.

Herniated disc suck. I had surgery on my neck where they cut bone from my hip and put in place of my disc in my neck. My arm went completely numb for 3 months. Be careful cause you could make it worse to where your nerve or nerves get severed and cause you to be paralyzed.

I do not believe any body weakness relates to this disc.
