Massage your scars--(not scabs--make sure your skin is NOT open with a wound) with anything oily/greasy--doesn't have to be anything special--olive oil or whatever. This works best with scars that are on the newish side---2 weeks to 3 months, but can be effective with older scars as well. It will help soften and reduce the scars somewhat. Try to do it for a few minutes several times per day--I realise this isn't necessarily convenient.
On a more expensive note, you can get silicone gel sheets from a pharmacy and apply as instructed and as tolerated. It will flatten the scars.
Pressure garments also work, but I'm sure that's a bit of overkill in your case.
Keep your scars out of the sun--it will deepen the colour of the scar and they will resist fading and be more noticeable over time.

There are medical cosmetics for scar coverage. Ask your doctor. I think the Red Cross have some involvement with it too, I know they run classes on how to use the make up.
Dermabland is good too, the web site is below.

I'm sorry but there's no way to get rid of the cuts. Even after they heal, the scars won't go away.

I've heard that an herbal oil from the calendula plant is good for scars, but I've never tried it.
