I have not had the easiest life and my family is not interested in me. I want to be able to wake up in the morning and be happy and excited about the day. I do not even want to go to sleep because I do not want to face the next day. I am 28 and it has been this way for about a decade. I can hide my misery from My girlfriend, friends and co-workers semi-easily because I have had plenty of practice. I have not had a drink in 3 weeks and have 1 week to go until my 1 month goal. I can not wait to start drinking again. I am probably wasting my life but I am so tired of life in general and just want to go to sleep and not wake up on any given day. The hollow shell of my soal is always pressing on me. Drinking helps me for the now but I do not have fulfillment. any body else share this problem?

Yes, its called a drinking problem. Your not the only one that has this. I used to. Its hard to quit like any other habbit. But drinking when I quit I started to get the shakes. That lasted a few days, but then I got better. I still drink but its less frequent. I can go a few weeks without a drink at all. But I slip up too. Just keep trying. The craving for it doesnt go away it just gets easier to deal with.

Its called alcoholism Go to AA I had a friend with the same issues and she went ,stopped drinking, and can now cope more easily with her problems. You need to take the first step in getting help. Good luck.

My friend, I see what used to be me, in your question. I couldn't fathom life without a drink, let alone 1 day...I am in recovery now, and my life and me have gotten better. Try AA...it is only 1 day at a time...I now have my life, self esteem and dignity back. Good Luck to you...
