I think in America there are enough unwanted children. Its hardly necessary to go elsewhere.

Stars adopt children from overseas for the same reason that other people have started adopting from overseas; The rules and regulations (guidelines) are not as tough as America's rules and regs.
It's easier to adopt a foreign child. If I had the money to do the same I would not. There are way too many kids HERE in the U.S. that need homes.

i think they do it because the process is quicker than here in the States. I watch a show called Adoption Stories everyday on The Learning Channel and I seen a lot of the couples adopt from overseas because the waiting list here is longer. A few have even been on the list here for years or have had bad experiences with birth mothers. I personally would not adopt from overseas because I'd rather help needy children here.

I think it's good that people are adopting, but we have so many children in the US that need a family, adopt here first. Also when adopting overseas like Angelina and Brad, quit after a few don't adopt a dozen children!!!

Money is just not all, that it takes to make decisions about adopting.
Just like living in the same town or country is not enough for falling in love with someone.
All those who adopt from overseas must have other ideas.They must view this world without boundaries,as their home.They must not consider race,ethnicity or class as a deterrent to adopt someone they love .
As for me I would listen to my heart.After all I am adopting and I want to give it all I can just like a mother who listens to her heart rather than head.

Considering that most celebrities have more money than they'll ever spend in their lifetime, I think its cool that they are giving children from generally poor countries an opportunity for a better life. Personally though, there are alot of children in this country that are living in poor circumstances ... and I think I'd be more inclined to adopt an American child just because I don't know enough about the culture of other countries to educate my child on their homeland and appreciate where they came from.

I would only if i had tried every avenue here in the united states and was unable to adopt here.. then i would overseas.

I think it is great and it is something that I have always wanted to do. The only concern I have is that it is becoming somewhat of a trend and adoption should only be for people who really are prepared to extend their family.

Money can buy anything. It's funny, how many stable people can't get a break in adopting, but some famous asshole can get a baby instantly.

only if i am really sure i would be able to handle it; be a good parent and all.
but i also feel ppl shouldnt adopt kids like that just coz stars r doin it. i mean, it's a BIG step, and a lotta things hav to b considered first...
